BOOOOOO.....
what, do we have an Angels fan here? ;)
No....more of west coast guy and like the teams from that division. To be honest, I am a Mariners fan but they can't seem to get any pitching and badly need a left handed hitter who can hit the ball out of the park.
D.
As a tried and true Indians fan, I have to admit it is very difficult but here goes...
Congradulations to the White Sox going to the World Series.
Win it for the AL boys!
-d
MUWUWHAHAHAH....I'll have you all rootin' for the Sox before it's all over with!
Twins fan here and I am pulling for the CWS....makes our division look good.CWS have got no respect this year either cause of the perception that the Central division is weak...I beg to differ,I think the Central division has the best pitching of all the divisions.
all i have to say is that all you White Sox fans better root for Houston cause the Cards are not going to lose to the White Sox like they did to our beloved Red Sox (a team that consistantly wins, but always loses :-/). Good luck though ;D
ah, so by that logic, if Houston is beating St. Louis, why would the Sox have any trouble beating St. Louis? Hmmmmm???
Also, what's with this:
Quotea team that consistantly wins, but always loses
loses the big ones? ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
As a bleeding blue Cubs fan, I loathe and detest all things Southside. Considering I also loathe all things Astro and Cardinal, this year's LCS wasn't a whole helluva lot fun for me. Of course, being a Cubs fan, not many are....
From a purely baseball standpoint, though, it should be a great Fall Classic. Great pitching, clutch hitting, two ugly-ass ballparks. Wait 'til next year....
fuck the white sox!
whatever, haters! this year has been awesome for the south side, no denying that!

At the Vic, the group My Morning Jacket was deep into a set Saturday night, but the pull of a Chicago World Series was too strong for some. Despite paying $20 a ticket for the sold-out show, about 30 people were in the lobby crammed around a small color TV, next to a table of band merchandise, watching the White Sox game, singing along to the band's offerings.
Laurie
An Indians' fans w/mixed feelings about the White Sox heading to the big game.
That crowd was fuckin' loud last night. :o
MUWHAHAHA!
a grand slam, AND a game winning HR by a guy who hasn't hit a HR all year! 2 to go...
that game was awesome last night. just purely awesome!
just wish these umpires would get off the crack. jesus, get a call right!
I can't beleive I fell asleep before the game winning HR in the bottom of the ninth! Looks like the White Sox may be champs before the Cubbies.Let's keep the World series champ in the American League
and......the longest game in Series history is won by the Sox! 14 innings, 5.5 hours, 14 pitchers...totally awesome. If only I had stayed up to 2 a.m. to see it!
One more to go, haters! ;)
are these guys playing great baseball or what?
feel the love! congrats to the sox winning the series and bringing the trophy to the Southside after 88 years. very well played this whole year, and kudos to the Astros for making it interesting, all the way to the end...
Ummm, Wot's the deal with the Astros manager complaining that the roof was open? :-/
But cool John, glad the ChiSox won!
"congrats to the sox winning the series and bringing the trophy to the Southside"
to all those ASSHOLES who say it's about chicago. its about the south side.....i hate the sox, always have always will. im going to go throw up now...or die trying
Last night, watching the celebrations, I thought to myself, "Chicago may be the, collectively, ugliest big city in the world."
Oh Jesus, the haters are here!
It's just a game, and this year was the White Sox's year. Last year was the Red Sox's year. Chicago isn't ugly, and the team had supporters from all over the city (don't believe me? do a search yourself and find articles about it) and the country.
Perhaps a little jealousy is in order here? They won the Series, that's the way it is.

Hey, pal, I live North of Montrose on Wilson and Campbell adn I like the White Sox; have since I was a lad. I was just making an observation about the people of the city and their looks.

It's all good, I was merely parlaying my love for the Sox into a discernible form...but I still disagree with you on the "ugliness" of Chicago. Ever been to Houston? Dallas? How about Trenton, NJ? or Milwaukee? All of those are pretty damn ugly places (IMHO-no offense to anyone from those locations...sorry)
The White Sox were the best team this year and they romped through the playoffs and series with a 10 and 1 record. Congrats!

what a horrible world series, two horrible teams. not to mention the fact that the chisox pretty much cheated their way into winning the ALCS

sour grapes, anyone? what a load. baseball doesn't have an instant replay. get over it. if the angels had better hitting...and if the astros had better hitting...maybe it would have been different.
but horrible team?! no thanks. 99-63 isn't horrible. smoking the red sox in 3 is far from horrible. and call or no call, the angels hitting was pathetic, so they wouldn't have won, anyways. the astros were no different-no one wins when they leave all those runners stranded.
it comes down to great pitching, and 4 complete games in the ACLS was great pitching by the sox starters. not to mention some clutch hitting by podesnik, crede, dye...

Cheated?...uh...were you watching the same game I was? I am no CWS fan by no means but they are quite simply..the best team in baseball...been in 1st place all year.
By 2 horrible teams you mean that the Braves and the Yankess weren't playing don't you....just because these 2 teams don't have the fan base that some of the others do does not make them "horrible" teams.
WHITE SOX WON THE WORLD SERIES!!!! YAY!!! YAY!!! YAY!!! YAY!!!
I like the White Sox. ;)
And I LOVE the Braves.... :-*
Has the World Series started yet?
say what?! ;)
