Title: A serious question
Post by: LennytheTent on Nov 16, 2005, 12:14 PM
seriously, I have to do a paper on General Motors...there's no specification about what to base the paper on..the teacher even said she won't read everything word for word..she's more concerned with the format....so what should i focus on in my paper? I need ideas cause i have none...seriously

The rise of General Motors in the auto industry.

You can easily find information and write a somewhat interesting presentation.

If she isn't checking, just google an essay on GM and plagerize the hell out of it.  But make sure the format is on target.

I thought about that..then i thought about all the problems they've had too, so i thought about combining the too..then i just stopped thinking because i want to procrastinate more

also, what are good things to put in appendixes? i've never had to do that before  :-[

oh, and primushead, that's illegal and immoral and i'm ashamed that an mmj fan would stoop to that level

If you refer to another document in your paper, you could put the extract from it in an appendix. The same goes for any graphs, tables or maps that you refer to but don't need to have in your text. That's the sort of thing.

I'd say focus on GM as "the elephant" and foreign car companies as "the flies".  GM isn't going to go away, at least not anytime soon.  But these flies have become a real pesky bother and are starting to take their toll on the larger elephant.  If enough flies jump on the elephant, they'll take the poor dear down and then they'll be swarming around GM's rotting carcass.

Does that give you some direction?  This analogy is really something that my MBA prof. used.  Seriously.
