I feel sorry for American Olympic fans. I see NBC has decided to show most of the games in an edited tape-delay prime-time package (just like they do with the Summer Olympics).

CBC in Canada is showing almost the entire games live. I believe it is the same with the BBC too.

Of course, I'm not sure how many southern Americans there are interested in the Winter Olympics.

Oooooh, yes. Curling is SO much fun watching.
I watched the mens snowboard cross today and man, that was SO fun. I hope that sport will stay in the Olympics.

Olympics is nice. I'm addicted!

Canada just won a single in speed-skating team pusuit. The men's final is next. Enjoy the 8-hour tape delay coverage on NBC tonight.

I've been watching men's hockey all morning.

The US women's hockey team lost to Sweden in a shoot-out in the semi-finals.

Gold and silver for Canada in the men's skeleton!

The other women's hockey semi-final is next (North American's don't call it ice hockey). Canada will walk all over Finland.

It's 4-0 for Canada in the 2nd period. It looks like a Sweden-Canada final.

That's cool. Though I don't think Sweden has a chance to win, but hopefully it could be an amusing final anyway!

Well, Canada beat the Swedes 8-1 in round-robin play. I'm proud of the Swedes for their most historic win in Swedish women's hockey history. Canada is leading 6-0 right now over the Finns.

The men's Swedish team has to be happy to have Forsberg back from injury. They got hammered by the Ruskies yesterday.

Yeah, I know. Canada is too hard to beat. But it's good anyway, coz in the last olympics they only got bronze and now they're getting silver.

oh yeah, it's really nice Forsberg will be playing. how could they lost with 5-0 aganist Russia. I know Russia is good but that good?! huh. Anyway.

The Swedish men's team usually fold in big games. So does their World Jr. team.

This year's men's Olympic team has question marks with depth at the 3rd and 4th forward lines and the goal situation is unproven. Back-up goalie Tellqvist is Toronto's back-up and Lundqvist is a rookie who's injured.

Hey Morning Rebel, Sweden needs Ebbot from The Soundtrack Of Our Lives in net. He would take up the entire goal area  ;D

The Swedish ladies Curling team is also progressing nicely. They're the only team that have won six of seven matches. Looks good! Though it's going not so good for the men's team.

Curling now on BBC 2 : USA - GBR. It's 7 - 6 in End 10

They're all chatting away on the ice now...

This isn't an actual sport right? Or is it? ???

okay, I can understand how that Japanese girl won the gold medal, she didn't fall one time.

But, how the hell does Sasha Cohen win silver when she fell twice and Slutskaya wins bronze when she fell once?  Another judging scandal in figure skating???

don't get me wrong I love my country but damn, that's pretty bad right?

If I'm correct, you only get "a fall" when more than 60% of your body rests on something else than your feet. So I guess that Cohen's second foul wasn't seen as a fall by the judges.

Where the hell is Wesemann. Did he even start?

Boonen still has a good chance.

the best thing about the winter olympics - on the weekends, when there's never much on tv, you can always watch some sort of bizarre winter sport that you only see every 4 years....

saw a bit of the men's & women's freestyle aerials, mens skeleton (how bizarre is this sport...), speed skating & some of the (don't know what the actual name is) fast down-hill slalom-type racing. very good!

not sure of the medal tally so far, but australia has at least one gold & one bronze... go oz!!  ;D

Aussie gold was won by a Canadian multi-millionaire. He's a duel citizen, but only claimed Australian citizenship so he could get adequate coaching and financial support. He thought the French Canadians got all the coaching in Canada... but financial support? The fucker is a multi-millionaire!

australia has a looong history of claiming "winners" from other countries as our own - russell crowe (nz), crowded house (nz), the list goes on... so hey, if he wants to win us a gold medal, go right ahead! he is officially one of US! the only other chance we had for a medal was the women's aerial skiing with alisa camplin, who won our other medal (a bronze)

at least we should have a better chance at the commonwealth games coming up...

no, it doesn't...come on.

I was there in '02 and it is beautiful.  Well, I was only in Stockholm so I can't account for everything else.   But, I really liked it.  And people are really nice.  Last time I was in Helsinki I met this Swedish guy who played the mandolin.  I happened to have my guitar and we jammed together...he was very good.  Anyway, I like Sweden.  The people are cool, nice, and beautiful city you have there in Stockholm.

Hmm.. well. Maybe i was overreacting a bit. but i'm just so tired of it at the moment. and maybe the people actually are nice but it feels like i really can't get into them. it feels like i don't fit in, but maybe i just have had the bad luck to meet the wrong people all the time. anyway, the good thing though is, as said before, all the music here is.
