Title: Very basic guitar question
Post by: Chills on May 02, 2006, 08:12 AM
So, I want to play Shadowplay by Joy Division (yes, on a cheap acoustic guitar!). The cool solo seems possible, even for an ultra-lame beginner like me, but the chords are described as regular E and C and D barre chords.

How to play C and D barre chords? Any help much appreciated.

you can either play it like this (let's say C for instance)

E       8
B        8
G        9
D       10
A        10
E        8

or

E
B    5
G    5
D    5
A     3
E

And move all of those frets up the neck two spots for the D.

Hope that helps.
