Title: New Forum Software?
Post by: Angry Ewok on May 17, 2008, 12:48 PM
Looks like the forum software was finally updated. I like the YaBB format, so kudos for a smooth transaction.

At least I didn't say it was a smooth transfusion.

Check out the eyes on this dude,

:D

That's how I'm feeling this morning.

I thought the trasmission of the transition of the transformation translated the transparent transmutated transaction transglobally.

dude   ;)

The signature limit appears to be 5 characters shorter... so caution to all of ya'll wanting to play around with your profile. I almost had to shorten my stupid signature warning.

Certainly this is not a major problem but I think the new forum software stuff is not taking into consideration Daylight Savings Time.  It's 1pm right now on the left coast, the time here on the forum says noon.

I still can't get on with my old account. I never did set a proper password, so when I try the "Forget Password" application, everything works fine until I go to my email account and nothing shows up from MMJ's website directing me back. I am beyond frustrated. I emailed this website about it but have heard nothing as of yet.

I had to set my to eastern time to get the right central time. I think you're right about DST.

DST is enabled, the default time is EST.
but you can change both yourself in your profile options. check that.

Hmm, well I'm set to Pacific Time and I am still showing a 1 hour difference ahead of the forum.  EST would be 3 in front of me (but I did doublecheck my preferences and it's PST).   [smiley=dankk2.gif] [smiley=dankk2.gif]

Perfecto!

Another question though, about the archive page. Why does nothing show up when I go to the "One Big Holiday" Conan page listed under streams?

Last time I checked the archive it under construction & then I forgot all about it (thanks for reminding me Tom!)

That really is something special, thanks for all your hard work Batman!  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

You're lucky the button isn't working, or I would've marked your post as read.

My favorite part about this software is the stats. Most of the REALLY interesting ones are for administrators only, though.

Looks like I am the 21st most active poster, here... but I've got to toss up over 100 posts before I break into the Top 20. Damn.

dragonboy, do you know where I can find a branched family tree of Elvis'? My grandmother (a Locke), the granddaughter of John Presley, couldn't remember which brother or uncle of his was the one that connected Vernon Presley (Elvis' father) to my great-grandmother, Nellie Mae Presley. I guess what I'm asking for is Vernon's family tree.

I've got a fair few Elvis books but don't think I've ever come across a family tree, I'll have to look again.
This was all I could find on the interweb: http://www.ancestry.com/landing/famoustrees/elvis_tree.htm
