Cool!
What the hell is Knob Creek Bourbon? It sounds vaguely similar to an unfortunate part of my medical history that doesn't warrant further mention. And I was very young at the time.
Bet I'm looking forward to seeing them more than they are to seeing me.
(Feel free to argue the last point, won't you?)

QuoteWhat the hell is Knob Creek Bourbon?

If my knowledge of UK dialect is correct, I assume you are referring to the "knob" portion of this sentance.  If so, I would wonder about said medical history... :o

If not, I'll entertain ya with the story of bourbon:

First of all, bourbon is one of Kentucky's finest exports.  (other than MMJ, of course)  Bourbon is a fine alcoholic spirit, specific to manufacture in Kentucky, aged at least 7 years in a charred oak barrel.  These two things are what make bourbon, "bourbon".  Everything else is whiskey. (Jack Daniels, for instance is whiskey, not bourbon)

Knob Creek, Patrick's drink of choice, is a newer, finer brand of bourbon (http://www.knobcreek.com ) that's aged 9 years, and has a very velvety smooth taste to it.  Maker's Mark, another fine Kentucky bourbon, is so smooth it's like maple syrup.

Check it out.  Hopefully, there's not some kind of weird export ban on this stuff and I think you'll be able to find it over there...Canada has banned the import of certain bourbon brands, which is sad... :'(

Also, we use the term "knobs" to refer to high hills in this area.

And might I add my favorite kentucky bourbon to the list:  Buffalo Trace!

I find it particularly interesting that Ms Holiday is among Patrick's influences--nice pick Patrick!  Bonzo Bonham is kind of a give with rock drummers ;D and I'm glad he made the list too
