Hello forum made of the best fans there is! (not sure if that's even grammatically correct, but you get the picture  :))

I'm new to this whole forum thing, but I've been lurking around for a while before I became a member and I know some aren't big fans of questions like these, but:

Since I live in Sweden, country of Vikings, socialism and IKEA, I haven't been able to visit any MMJ concert yet (to see for myself), so my friend and I were just interested in knowing how old you guys and gals are?

Also would be fun to know where in the world you're located. I get the feeling most of you are Americans?

Haha, we try to keep chill. Thanks for the welcome, everyone really do seem great on here  :) As for MMJ coming to Sweden, I've been praying for that every night and I'm not even religious. Maybe that's why it isn't working...  Anyways, if they don't come here, I will come to them, as soon as I've got enough money  :D

Well, Sweden is slightly more socialist and also geographically tiny when compared to Canada, but both we both know cold, nature, underpopulation and hockey. We aren't as blonde though, Pamela Anderson notwithstanding.

I DID THIS!!!!!!!!!!!! For years, I did that. You should have seen my collection, it was beautiful and amazing. I recycled most of them when I was prepping for my move to Boulder. I needed to simplify my life, but I had a killer pint collection.  :-/

yeah, i wouldn't say i have a problem, but if i see a nice glass of some brand i don't already have, it's gonna be mine. i got caught once, but the dude was cool about it and didn't give me much of a hard time.

Ooh Jim James country, I like that. Also like the MMJ Guitar Tabs Page, I'm learning to play the guitar, slowly but sure... well not really surely, just slowly, but maybe one day I'll be good enough to use some of those tabs  :)

Yeah, sometimes we get to see him in his natural habitat.  ;)

My tabs page is pretty good for new guitar players.  I try to keep it pretty simple.  Just ignore the actual tabs until you're ready for them and focus on the chords.  The chords for Bermuda Highway, At Dawn, and Steam Engine are pretty easy to strum and sing.  Good luck!

With the Oscars, foreign means language. For example, Sarah Polley's Away From Her was a multiple nominee at last year's Oscars, but it's an English Canadaian film and got lumped in with the rest. However, films from Quebec and done in French are considered foreign, even though they are not (Oscars are for North America).

The story behind the name goes like this: since I have such a short name, I've never had any nicknames, which I used to be a little sad about as a kid. Americans love their cars and factories and the union-led factories that make them; taxes, equality, human rights, charity etc... are all forms of socialism too. Personally, I like a nice mix of socialism and capitalism (which is exactly what the Liberal Party of Canada is - this political party is more centre, but to Americans it would seem far left, but not as leftist as our New Democrat Party). Canada is a mix of capitalist-socialist, no matter if your allegiance is to the right or centre of left.

It is mind boggling to me how people can call a person unpatriotic for supporting the president of our country.  I'm still waiting for actual figures of what Obama has taxed these people on that is pissing them off.  One minute they are saying they don't want the government to spend money, the next they are picketing Kennedy Space Center telling the president not to cut spending to the space program.  It's a big stinking pile of hypocrisy.  But I guess that's why they call them puppets, they don't actually know what they're talking about they just repeat other people's opinions.

Haha, well, where to begin, hmm, Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo, Anita Ekberg etc etc are all cool I suppose, but not very current. I'm a fan of Alexander Skarsgård for sure, love his work in TB, not seen GK because movies/series about war makes me too sad. I'm a fan of his dad too, they're both very talented and funny. I like Peter Stormare, really liked him in Prison Break. I kinda like Peter Bjorn and John, but I prefer other swedish music like Robyn or Hello Saferide. I like the Hives, Howlin' Pelle has a cool voice and a healthy confidence.. hrrrm ;)

I like blonde females, but prefer darker hair on guys. I like blue and yellow, blue more than yellow, unless it's a submarine. Three crowns are ok, three is the magic number after all. I'm not a big fan of royalty, they don't do much, just keep the gossip magazines alive. I like fishing, but not catching any fish, partly because I don't like killing fish. When it comes to Swedish Elite League hockey I prefer Färjestad - the wolfpack, woohoo. Ok, mostly because it's my dad's favourite team, I have no real preference when it comes to hockey. I do however prefer it to soccer, so hopefully I get 0,5 hockey points at least? You get plenty more swedish points for your post :)

And yeah americans are kinda touchy about socialism I suppose, I'll just stick with my yay and not elaborate further, other than... yay universal health care! :P
