I cruise the internet on several sites daily just to look at bad ass posters and wish I could buy them. I'm assuming I'm not the only one that does this so maybe we could help each out. My list:
-Black Keys 12/30/10 and 12/31/10 (I got the 3rd day but was too ate the first two)
-MMJ Burwell NYE MSG. I know how rare this is, but I won't give up hope. Either colors are cool with me.
-Pearl Jam Burwell Poster. I may already have this secured, but I'm trying to find a non-ebay place to buy it.
Burwell NYE is easily had, you could easily get one for under $100.
really? in my 6 months of looking at posters so often I've only seen one for sale and it was about 150.00$.

look on expressobeans, couple of folks have it listed for sale for $75

espresso beans is somewhat confusing me. All the users listed are selling and/or trading the poster, correct? And I have to PM them with an offer if no price is listed?

pretty much correct. You first need to create an account if you haven't already. The website basically originated years ago as a site that merely tracked the sales of predominantly rock posters. You could look up a poster and see it's sales history, and also as a way for people to trade, buy and sell with each other. It's become quite large. But, if you're wanting that poster I would first start by sending pms to the 2 individuals who have the print listed for $75, see what they say. Sometimes people forget to update their page, and sometimes an item is sold, or is no longer available and they still have it listed as for sale.
cool man thanks
Well, I've contacted a couple folks on EB, but thought I'd try the forum. I've decided I'd like to complete my collection of Guy Burwell's Portland MMJ posters. I've got 3 of 5. If anyone knows of an available print for these two, I'd love to hear about it. PM or email would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.

I feel like if you just check eBay sometimes you'll find the top one pretty easily for 50$ or so. The other one not so much.
I'm still trying to get my hands on a Burwell Pearl Jam. I got the Lost print that Burwell was comissioned to do for 17$, which I'm happy about. Lost, Pearl Jam, and MMJ are my 3 favorite things, so I need that PJ to have a poster of each by Burwell.
Johnny, I may have an extra copy of the burwell 07 Portland, if so I'll sell it to you. I'll check some time this weekend.

me and you both! good luck!
That must be the poster with the steamboat? I didn't realize it had become a rarity so soon.
I was reminded of it when I saw this come up on eBay. I snagged it from a seller in Australia for $6 (plus $12 shipping, from Down Under). Curious to see it in person, a different take on the steamboat motif and a poster I'd never seen before.

The poster I was talking about (and I think, the person I replied to) is

That one is proving tough to find.
Nice buy, JY. As you probably know, that's a promoter poster for the show, not a silkscreen. (much in the same way this is: http://cgi.ebay.com/MY-MORNING-JACKET-2010-Concert-Poster-w-Grace-Potter-/150575118121?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230ef9f729 (http://cgi.ebay.com/MY-MORNING-JACKET-2010-Concert-Poster-w-Grace-Potter-/150575118121?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230ef9f729) they often use the same poster art).
I'm pretty eager to find the original silkscreen of that, and I can't even figure out who the artist is. I even toyed with buying what you did in the hopes of figuring out who the artist is, but instead I asked the ebay seller directly if it said anywhere, and he said it doesn't. If when you get it you can tell, let me know please! For more info, you can see a thread I started here:

There are only 4 MMJ posters I need to complete my 2008 - 2010 collection, and these we are discussing are two of them....
Hmm. The silkscreen image you posted in that EB thread is quite different. I actually like the promo better, but its interesting how the art is rearranged. So, can you share what other 2 08-10 posters you're looking for?
yea i wrote a guy at cricket press and he said that all they did was design the poster but didn't distribute them. said the band sent them a couple of copies but obviously they weren't for sale. i wrote someone on mmj website and they said they didn't have any for sale either but gave me two links to see if anyone was selling it. this one and expressobeans.com. haven't had any luck on either yet. i'm sure you guys already know this but i did find an alternative poster for the halloween show on branjofarms.com. if you click shop at the top of the screen it's the second one down. it's actually pretty cool. i'll probably get that one to tide me over until i find someone selling the other one for an outrageous price
I got the BranJo poster at the show. I like it better than the CP one. The signed/numbered ones were out of 44 or 22 depending on what run. I believe I have like 10/22 and 21/44 and a non signed numbered one. Plus brandon jones is the shit.

I need the 3/13/08 hatch show print for SXSW and the 8/11/10 San Diego Ryan Nole poster. That's it for MMJ but I'm also trying to put together a complete Monsters of Folk set, so if you expand to include those I have all but 10/28/09 Omaha (Joshua Norton) (there were 2 that night).

I don't think it exists but I'm trying to find a poster from the
November 8, 2005 show at the Henry Fonda Theater in LA (aka, my first show).
I've searched high and low and again, don't think one was made, but you never know. ::)
I reaaaallly NEED a poster from the Pantages show. I made the mistake of waiting since we were in a rush to get our seats before the show due to bad traffic on the the 3.5 hour drive , and they had sold out way early.
If anyone has a spare, I will GLADLY pay some extra for your time, trouble, and generosity.
Thanks!

Many of those are pretty tricky, for sure. I can help you with the first one- Randy Fung still has some of the VT '10s. He's got no website or anything but if you are interested, you can contact him directly. Nicest guy you'll ever transact with. He's at irfung and his suffix is aol.com.

Oh no that 'Roo '08 Burwell that was on ebay is now gone, was hoping someone would have purchased that to trade for my "At Dawn" Burwell. :( Nevermind it is still there, i just found it again. But maybe someone wants to pick this up for a trade for the "At Dawn"?
Guess i will just have to wait and see if someone is willing to make this trade. Still holding my "At Dawn" poster for a fellow forum member to acquire this 'Roo '08 Burwell that i have been searching for. I know there are a few people on expresso beans that have it for sale/trade but want to make the trade for the "At Dawn", i feel this is a fair trade as the "At Dawn" is a lower edition run and a very special event also! What do you folks think?

i know that this is a long shot, but i was lookin through the show archive the other day and found the dates of the shows that MMJ has played in Buffalo:
05/07/2003: Mohawk Place
09/14/2003: Showplace Theatre
and while i havent been able to find a picture of a poster for either show, if anyone has one from either show that they would be willing to part with or even just provide a picture so i know what im actually looking for, i would be extremely grateful.

Nate, it's doubtful a poster was made for those shows. None listed on expressoneans.
while you probably are right, ive seen a couple of posters (while searching for posters of the buffalo shows) that arent on expresso beans either. im still gonna hold out hope that one exists.

Guess this screws up my chance of making my At Dawn trade for the 'Roo '08, but glad that others that were asking me for it have a chance to buy it for the cost that the artist was selling it for.
Wanted to place my in search of poster here also, i was hoping that there might be someone that has an LA Burwell from the Dec. 1st show that would be willing to make a trade for the NYC Burwell from Dec. 14th? I know that e_wind had mentioned this before me in another thread so i would be next in line if this trade happens to develop.
Contact me if you're searching for an ISM T5...
For all those in search of a Burwell '04 MMJ Portland poster there is currently a listing of it on ebay with one bid of only $40. I might try and bid on it but figured i would let the rest of the forum folks know just in case they might be looking for this one. If others are looking for it just post or send me a pm so i know not to bid against you. It's a listing from the UK and the shiping costs are fairly reasonable.
As for another MMJ Burwell, i have an extra MSG 2011 poster for a fellow forum member if they are still looking for it. I first have to check with one other forum member to see if they got one but if they have it then my is up for grabs. Figured i would give others a shot that missed out on it here instead of having to see if you won an auction on ebay for it. Just send me a pm and i will get back to you, hope this helps someone get a poster that they were looking for.

Nice pic! That's my copy, held onto the side of my fridge by my kids' magnetic alphabet letters.
This one comes up from time to time, anywhere from $40 to $140, depending on condition and luck. I'll keep an eye out. You might also check Expresso Beans (http://forum.expressobeans.com/ucp.php?mode=login&redirect=xlogin.php), set up an account, and include it in your "wanted" list. Other members, looking to sell, might contact you.
Its one of my favorites, no longer on the fridge.

Haven't scoured too hard yet but figured I'd put it out there...think there is only 400 prints...anyone know where to find one or how much one would shell out for it at this time?

Eric/e_wind is a nice guy so if he has one for you i would deal with him but if not you can still purchase these from the printers at Diesel Fuel Prints...here is the link for this poster but you should be able to find it cheaper from someone on ExBean.

Hope this helps.
I'm not sure you'd find it much cheaper on EB, but I guess it's worth a shot. I think it's Guy's best MMJ print (sans maybe the Portland Alladin print), it's fantastic and well worth $75.

sorry, man. going through the portfolio I remember the 2nd one I ordered was actually sold out from a print shop in london (where it was only 25$!!!!), so they let me pick another print instead. I forgot that happened.

You should email Guy. When I was trying to complete my Burwell/MMJ collection, I had never seen the 03 on eBay or EB, so I asked him if he had any ideas... and he sent me one for $10! Its not screenprinted, possibly a litho, so he might be making them to order. Its one of my favorites and one of the least expensive posters in my collection. Its listed as a run of 100 and I'm now wondering if mine was S/N or not. I'll check when I get home...

Thanks John,
I have already made a couple purchases thru Guy, he helped me cross a lot off my list. That was one he was out of.
I know I'll find it eventually. Thanks for the tip! You actually helped me out on the "new/old" board, when I was looking for the 11' Red Rocks print.
Got that one from Guy, plus a #004 T5, and a 1st Edition RCMH 08'
It was like Christmas when that package showed up.
Guy Burwell is an amazing artist, and an amazing person.
I say we petition for the band to hire him to do next years Roll Call poster. I know he has been kind and generous to many people on this board.
