I'm at Bonnaroo. Went to the Porta potties during Buffalo Springfield. Came out and ran into Jim. I told him how much I love his music and his new album. Told him I'm also from Kentucky. I asked him if he could give me a heads up about him playing in the Superjam tomorrow and he said he was not playing in it but Patrick IS playing in it. Anyways, I left Buffalo Springfield early to come back to my phone to post my encounter with Jim. I told him I didn't want to shake his hand because I just came out of the Porta potty and he put his hand out and said it was okay because he just came of them as well. Highlight of my decade right there.

Awesome story! I met him twice and the first time was awesome. We BSed about record stores in Pittsburgh. Super nice.
I met him kinda at fallon the b4 t5. my friend was doing the talking cause for some reason when i meet someone who means alot to me or famous i can't speak and my body starts to shake like i'm about to puke. Its like my body realizes something good is happening and wants to self destruct before it happens. lol
Is his beard as awesome as I imagine??? ::)

Most definitely. I noticed prior to even meeting him that his beard is really growing. As far as last night, Jim was sporting a sleeveless black vest. His hair really is huge up close. So excited I got to shake his hand. Awesome dude.

That summarizes my encounter at the 40 Watt in Athens perfectly! We walked in around 3pm before the show just to see what was happening- and there he was-

I encountered Patrick on the street in NYC several hours before the TTF T5 show -- I was able to stammer out, "I'm going to all five shows!" He replied, "I am too!" ;D

Yes, I think we have all been a little tongue tied when meeting the boys, or the complete opposite: me at App Voices last year offering my and pennylane's services as therapist and/or attorney. DOH!

Nope, he wasn't wearing the white boots. Actually, I'm not too sure what he was wearing, but I think I would have noticed the boots if he had them on.

I was just up too, waking the entire house up with my AWESOME dvd rip of the UNSTAGED show. DAMN!!! I was noticing that not only is Jim's beard magnificent, but he looks so tan and that hair of his is like a damn LION's MANE!! :D :D

I missed him by about three minutes at The Meters/Dr. John show. I was in the photo pit for a while and came back to the media/VIP area and my friends said he just left :(.
I did get to hang out with Patrick and Bo for a while. Patrick is about as nice a guy as you'll meet.
Met lots of cool people over the weekend (Lewis Black, Bootsy, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Abigail Washburn, Black Joe Lewis, Sam Beam (ate dinner with him), and Warren Haynes. Patrick was the best!

I was in VIP, but I also had media credentials and a Music Allies laminate. I was getting in everywhere. Very fun weekend.
