Great pics, thanks for posting.

I love the 7th one, Patrick in black and white with the blurred right hand and drum stick. Wow!  8)

Thanks johnnYYac! Got it sorted thanks to you. So, my camp at High Sierra rocks a mobile bar called the Big Pig. I threw together some shirts this year with heavy emphasis on my feelings for MMJ versus other bands at the fest. Here's the front and back of the tees and one of the bar and its loyal staff:

As a photographer I have to say I really appreciate your shots. It is hard to tell what part of the day it was, sunset I would guess. Is that you dressed from the 70's?

@ Rincon-
I'm the dude in the red! That's my pal who's ready for a 70's tennis match with Bjorn Borg.

I started shooting just after sunset and kept up through the dark. My first real concert photog experience where I really committed to it. I shot 400 or so pics, but only ended up with a handful of ones I really valued. Thanks for the feedback!

Thank to everyone else for checkin 'em out too!

Too funny...I was sitting outside of the little hall were Earnest Ranglin was finishing up and along rolls this bar.  I looked at my friend Karen and said, "that thing is awesome...we need one of those!"  I stood up, took a picture, and then I think we moved on...or I played with a little kid first and then moved on.  Either way, sorry that I didn't get a close up look...  :)

the bar is indeed mobile and was making its rounds throughout the fairgrounds this weekend....I think the last stop was outside the late night halls sunday night, where we were making peeps tell us jokes for shots of makers mark.  See ya next year!

Fresh back from High Sierra and a smokin show. The boys did not disappoint.

Hey Nate,

I met you there...I'm the other Jenny...friends with Jenny B!  We met you at your bar when it was in RV Town.  Did not see you up front snapping pics but you may have some with me in it.  I waited for about an hour to ensure I was right in front of JJs mic.  I've only seen 4 MMJ shows but they just keep getting better and better.  This was by far the best one yet!  I've been into the band for about five years but my serious obsession has been building for the past year or so (um, that's why I'm here, I guess!!??)  If I had seen your shirts I would have tried to buy one off you!

I don't know if you were up there, but during the middle of Mahgeetah when it's all quiet, JJ was right on the edge of the stage, staring down at my little posse and me.  My brain thought, "say something!" so I yelled out, "Hi Jim James!" and he gave me a little smile and a wave...right to me.  I know it sounds lame...I totally groupied out...but I did not care.  I was in heaven!  He also sang directly to me a couple other times during the night.  Loved every minute of it.  Mission accomplished.

I would love to see more of your pics!  They are fantastic!

Jenny

Didn't see any exif data...what lenses were you shooting with? Did you crank your iso way up (don't see any noise)? Really like the pp treatment on these as well!

Great job .

@ Jenny- Yeah! Wish I was in the pit to say hello to Jim. You must have caught his eye!

@ Grizzly- I shot with 3 lenses on my D7000. 50mm 1.8, 18-105, and 55-200.
I had my ISO on auto most of the show, with a max of 3200. I got a lot of pics around 1000 and below when the lights came on strong (as they often do!). I postprocessed in Lightroom. Thanks for the feedback!

If he's even received just $1 for any session or a snapshot then he's a professional.  ;)

It's just a word and I've seen "professionals" portfolios that don't even come close to what he captured on a few shots here.  8)
