I got invites if anyone wants in. Not sure what it is?

i dont know what it is but kafdslkf please
Ok, according to some people, the invites are going through but they say you have to wait before you can access it. So sorry for the tease if that's the case.
The service is like Facebook for adults. It's a bit more transparent on who can see what you share, you can reveal no more than your name if you choose, and no one is going to spam you with requests for games and that kinda bullshit.
The downside is that you can't control who "follows" you. But the other side of that is you can only share with those who you choose to share with by putting them in "circles" of friends that only you can see.
I like it way more than Facebook for what it's worth. It's just useless without other people.

I got it but you should edit that post so you don't get spammed. Spiders crawl forums like this harvesting email addresses.
It's safer to just put your name [at blah blah dot com]
I'm gonna start sending Eric homemade spam. Ooh, the possibilities.
yo guys add me on google+

Can someone hook me up?
megisnotreal @ gmail. com
I'm on.
PM me your emails.
Is + even really worth it? Trying to figure out if I want to even invest time/energy into this. Facebook, Twitter, here, other boards. Do I really need another social media place to manage and what am I gonna give up for it.
Anyone still in need? everyone I've invited so far has gotten in for sure.
MJK: I plan to abandon facebook. Not delete, but I think this service serves my needs perfectly. Can ignore who I want to, can reveal as little as I want to, and there's no wall for people to post unsolicited crap or stupid game requests. Also, it's less dramatic with teh whole "unfriending" process.

Interesting. I guess I've been lucky and that I haven't had issues with the games or unfriending. I'm pretty selective anyway as to who I allow in. Plus FB is only as open as you want it to be.
anybody whos on there, its only so much fun right now, ericwindmill @ gmail dot com lets get dis party started
Does anyone know if you have to have a gmail address for this? I got an invite, but it wanted a gmail address. I'm with MJK in the sense that I'm not sure that I want to get involved with yet another time sucker... ;D
You do have to have a google account, but google accounts are super convienent with docs, email, spread sheet, etc. I think google + will take over Facebook based on the fact that it's google and they run the internet
You should know the biggest concern with google is their way of sort of data-mining everything and everyone. The pro of keeping FB and Google separate is that it keeps a wall between them. So just be wary of what you share because it makes it easier to market your personal info. On the flip side, that wealth of knowledge they have is ultimately used to make things easier for you. It's just a matter of you trusting Google's motto of "don't be evil" with what they've got.
Example: My G+ account only has my name and a motto so people know I"m El Chode. Everything else is empty and no one cares.
I do prefer gmail's interface to all others

i agree..
i always think of things when i post potentially sensitive information on the interwebz.. is it already within arms reach of the average information stealing (gathering) algorithm put in place by the Google Facebook or Microsoft (Bing)
gmail has helped me sort almost 7 years worth of emails.. it's almost like my "internet timeline"
i can even browse back into my days of myspace and interactions on various message boards in years past..
it really just comes down to the question of "what do i have online that could possibly incriminate me" and to most people.. the answer should be "not much" or "nothing special" out of what big brother wants to know about

I actually, perhaps even stupidly, don't mind sharing with google specifically. It's what goes beyond google, or in other words, what other programs/na'erdowells will do if they can access the info. So where as I don't care if google knows where I live (they know from my most frequent login geoip), I may not want Intelius or Experian knowing every detail without working for it.
i joined...now what do i do :D
somebody should send me an invite. what the fuck is this thing again?

Don't ask me. If it's anything like "vague-booking" or if I have to read about those obnoxious girls from high school who got married too early and now only bitch about their kids all the time, then I don't want in... ;D

it looks kind of cool to me, there's just nobody on it yet.
Anyone that wants invites pm me your email addy and I'll hook it up
Start the MMJ forum circle i suppose
Also i don't think you need a gmail account to have the Google+ just need to set up a google account which you can do with any email address
Add me if you're on there kotchishm@gmail.com
I have an MMJ circle of forum folks
i found you ewind and just added you. kotchism i can't find you...
for some reason, i can't invite anyone yet....if and when i get the power, i will invite :)
Maybe im somehow on limited I don't know. Its Michael Kotchish though
Found ya!
i also added you michael
I feel like I just gave my entire life to google. add me people:
StickyIcky GreenStuff
so is this going to show people all the porno I look at now?
I used this to import all of my photos as well as the photos I was tagged in from Facebook to Google+, therefore no reservations about dropping that service.
http://moveyourphotos.com/ (http://moveyourphotos.com/)
It's just a firefox add-on
Well, hell, if it's an MMJ community thing going on, someone with my email please send an invite.
P.S. I find it hilarious that my work network blocks google+ but allows facebook. Meh.
i invited Ky & sticky....
it's kinda crickets in there so far, but it has potential.

thanks, kotchishm came thru. sorta setting it up a little now. I've added a few people but the real name thing is throwing me off big time, have no idea who is who really. don't get the hype of this thing yet, is this googles final move to take over the rest of the internet? they own us now for sure.
Has anyone else added things to their "Sparks" section? I added MMJ, Wash Nats, and Android and it's pretty much a news feed or recent articles from all over the web of what you select. Pretty cool to have news and everything, also the new look of Gmail is suweeet
What is this Sparks you speak of? Also how are people sharing G+ posts to their FB feed?
On the desktop version look halfway down on the left side and it says "Sparks" then you can just type in things and add them and each topic is a seperate link on your homepage. Once you select it it loads the current google-searched news feed for the selected topic.
No idea about the G+ on facebook but seems a little odd no?
yeah its odd, but Jason/SteamEngine is reposting his G+ posts to FB
My email is firstcolors@gmail.com , add me. Or not, i pretty much have no intrest in this whatsoever.
Its such a shame that this isn't gaining power. I was SO excited about it two weeks ago but even with this short span of time you can see it won't happen.
I added a e_wind and stickyicky in a new MMJ circle :D

Go here http://crossrider.com/install/519-google-facebook (http://crossrider.com/install/519-google-facebook) if you want to G+ and fb at the same time. It only works w/Firefox though and there are still numerous crickets chirping over at G+ IMO.
I just posted a rant about how their real name requirement is going to kill this thing. Sad, really.
It's dead as hell in there. Chode you're the only one that I get updates from, they are, however, hilarious in most instances.
