It was short but sweet.  I only had to chastise two groups of Paulo Nutini fans for talking during it... and I got to meet SBB beforehand!  :)

Okay, buckle up people, here comes the rambling!

At first I didn't think I'd actually get to enter the festival, since there was some trouble with my tickets. For some reason they didn't arrive and I had to print out lots of emails to be able to get the tickets on site. Then the staff pointed us in the wrong direction and about 2,5 hours later we finally got to enter the festival, phew! On Friday Bright Eyes were amazing as always and Conor made sure the audience knew his friend Jimmy James would be playing the next day.

On Saturday it rained like crazy, but we went to buy some more raincoats and it worked out quite well. Villagers were excellent and The Head and the Heart were even better than I imagined. After the show the drummer threw out some CDs in the audience and one hit my head pretty hard, after some comfort smoothies I was back in the game again though. Then I got to meet MarkW along with this lovely wife, they were both looking ready to rock out in their MMJ t-shirts. Before settling in to wait for MMJ I bought a big fluffy wig that I stubbornly insisted on wearing during the set. I hope I didn't block anyones view too much... :-\ Then the band came on and it just felt like one long song, in the best possible way, like the music never stopped, it just flowed effortlessly, filling you with complete joy and happiness. I was cheering, dancing and singing to the point where people got annoyed with me and started to push and pinch me. I didn't really care though. :D I wish I could put into words what hearing the music live felt like, but I don't think I can. But I imagine that all of you know what I mean anyway.  I'll try to do better when describing Somerset House...  :)
