OK then smarty pants; explain to me why we celebrate Cinco De Mayo - the day that brave Texans remembered the Alamo and turned back all of those crazy Belgians who were trying to make us all European socialists.

well, Pat already said they were going to tour for a year a half, with breaks, so by that knowledge theyll be touring the world for another year at least, that will probably include another full North American tour, as well as an Austrailian. don't give up hope yet.

You can always have more children. Wilco & MMJ on consecutive nights is like an alignment of planets or something. ;)

Wilco is not playing in Amsterdam, but in Utrecht on the 13th (and also in Tilburg on the 14th). But Utrecht is very close to Amsterdam (~30 mins with public transport) and it's also a beautiful city. It's a smaller version of Amsterdam really, with less tourists ;)
And by the way, the Paradiso venue in Amsterdam where My Morning Jacket is playing is one of the most beautiful venues! It's an old church with very good acoustics and nice decorations. Really suits the MMJ style ;)

There's some great video/pics somewhere of MMJ playing the Paradiso in 2000. The audio is available from archive.org. I guess they like the venue and wanted to go back 11 years later.
Just got my roll call tickets for Leeds and Manchester. See you there Jacketeers.

You guys need Excel and SAP assistance during that time period right? You need to recruit someone with experience in both correct? For a short term need of course. Payment can be in the form of frosty malted beverages.

Yesssss! I went all out, I'll be going to Leeds, Manchester, London, Lund, Oslo and Stockholm, thank you saved vacation days!
Hi,
So, it's Thursday pm - anyone on the mailing list had a pre-sale link yet??
gettin' itchy .....
Nope - nothing yet on Mailing list pre-sale. I knew I should have joined Roll Call....so disorganised! ???
Just got the link from the mailing list - tickets booked for the Roundhouse London ... only a tiny bit excited :D
Got my tickets for Amsterdam show :). Thinking about going to Antwerp or Köln too, but the money is a problem (poor student ;))
The Head and the Heart are coming along as well, OH MY GOD! :D
I just got that email from THATH. Lucky people in Europe right now
I cannot wait for Paradiso show. In saw Avett Brothers there last year, but it was in the small hall. Anyone know how early the line will form? I want to make sure we are in soon enough to get a spot on the second floor railing.
Can't wait.
Birmingham tickets booked - very excited ... last 2 B'ham shows have been cancelled (for various reasons) so at least i don't have to travel to Nottingham ...
.... mind you, the Z tour show at the Rescue Rooms is still in my Top 5 gigs ever !!

this will probably be a really interesting place for a concert - but it seems quite a long way away
Looking forward to the Roundhouse gig, after arriving late for Somerset House and being stuck right at the back. I expect the setlist will be much the same, so they probably won't play What A Wonderful Man, Dancefloors and At Dawn.
