Dude you just made my freaking day. That is awesome news and will make up for the shorter charlotte show I wet to. Thanks
i cant believe there is a band called dangermuffin
I'm sorry but that line up is awful
If MMJ played on Saturday I'd go down to catch them and Blind Pilot, other than that it's pretty bad. Zac Brown Band is a redneck-DMB
Friday Night looks awesome. The Whigs, Trigger Hippy, Warren Haynes....
Totally disagree. I think it's a cool and eclectic mix of artists. I'm sure some awesome collaborations will go down, as well. Wish I could go...

Missed the Whigs on there good call
If the PHJB were on the same day as MMJ, I'd say this would be a must-go for me.
Half the World Away solo by The Whigs is probably my favorite non-MMJ solo ever!
Anybody know much about the stadium??
I thought I read somewhere that they were taking a break between ACL 9/17 and Europe because Patrick's wife was expecting. I guess it's back to work a little early for Mr Clock Hands!!
Hmmmm.
I have a wedding to go to in Tampa on Saturday the 22nd.
It's only two states away right? ;) Sounds doable to me.
you can do it, ericm!
damn, if they weren't playing on friday...
Cool lineup...would love to make it down for that. Check out Moon Taxi, those guys are awesome

Wheels are turnin' ms. y. ;) I've got a gameplan, and if all goes well, I'll be there.
I'll be in St. Augustine for a few days, and drive up to Charleston for the show. It's only 5 hrs. away, and then the drive to Tampa on Saturday is 7 hours. Leave Charleston by 8:00ish and it'll leave me plenty of time to be in Tampa in time for the wedding at 5:00pm.
The stadium is a soccer stadium that seats around 5,000, mostly in the stands on either side of the field. I'd imagine it'll hold a decent amount of ga's on the field, and that's where most people will be,I'm sure. It's on Daniel Island in Charleston. :)

Now I'm just waiting to see if they sell single day tix. If not, the 3-day pass @ $99.00 isn't too bad. Seems I pay that for most other shows here in the northeast.
I read somewhere that you can get single day passes for $57.

Thanks for the info.
I'll keep an eye out.
Now I have something to look forward to. Does this mean Zac Brown plays after MMJ?
Does anyone on here like the Zac Brown Band?
I think we're gonna try to make this...It would be a nice little vacation in the fall.

My girlfriends sister likes/loves that red neck Zac Brown Band and she wants to see them now that i let her know that they were going to be playing this festival for 3 nights. And want her to see a band that can rock like MMJ so we might be trying to go to this festival. Does anyone know if this festival is a camping one? I highly doubt it but still worthy of asking i assume. Hope they announce some other dates also before they go overseas! She wanted me to say this quote from Zac Brown "Cold beers on a friday night, pair of jeans that fit just right". Cold beers on that Friday night is right!! LOL later

I believe that will be the case! :o It's going to be tough following the Warren Haynes Band and MMJ on Friday. If you haven't seen the WHB, definitely make a point of catching their set. I caught them at Mtn. Jam and they tore it up!
I read somewhere (forgot to copy it) that Zac Brown is closing all three nights. Also single day passes as posted earlier will be available @ $57.00 per, and there are some type of VIP tix being offered as well as reserved and ga.
Does anyone have any idea how long MMJ will play for at this, or when we will find that out (when they would release set times)?
Might be able to make this work, but I'd be pretty bummed if they got anything less than 90 minutes, and would hope they get 2 hours.

Yeah,I'd be bummed with less than 2 hours also.
If we don't get any NYC dates announced before then, I'm sure my lack of show jones will be kicking in big time, and whatever we get at this will have to be the fix I'll be needing. ;)

Have you ever seen The Whigs in concert? They will give most bands, including MMJ a run for their money. First saw them with DBT in Asheville and they more than held their own. Have seen them several times since then. Julian (drummer) is unbelievable. I know this is a MMJ board, and I am a big fan, but they are not the only band out there.
dangermuffin is bad ass...i'm not joking
This is interesting.

On the Friday lineup, they have MMJ above ZBB. Every other day (Sat. and Sun.) Zac Brown is listed first. Wonder if that means Jacket is getting the headlining spot? Doesn't seem right, but hoping it's so. Pit tix are $94 for the day when all fees are added in. Not bad, but hoping for some kind of roll call deal.
ok, I broke down and decided to buy the Front Porch tickets. Thought it'd be worth it for all the food and drink, but now it looks like those seats are off to the side and you can't see the stage good, anyone else know anything about that?
Anyone else going to this?? MMJ play at 8:30.

Was thinking about going but now that the band is playing a show at MSG i think i might end up missing this one. Can't help you out with any advice as far as the festival goes though. Hope you enjoy this and hope they have a long enough set for you.
I'm with Sweet Nothing ... I had plans, but once they announced the Greensboro show, that made more sense. I was correct in that ZBB is playing before MMJ, which shows some massive respect considering it's their festival (but also how it should be). Imagine there's probably an 11 pm curfew, so you should get a rockin show if they come on at 8:30.
ONly think I'm concerned with if is there are not enough Jacket fans there. Hopefully there will be. I'd hate to see people leave after ZBB plays.
Just bought my plane tickets for this show! 4th Jacket show this year!!
I have several Right pit tickets available which we all know Jim plays the right side of the stage. I had some friends bail on me. So ill sell them for face value maybe even a little less. Ill be at the fest for just one day bc I only want to see MMJ and WHB. This will be my 5th MMJ show this yr. thanks
I have one PIT RIGHT ticket available if anyone is interested. I live in Charleston, and can meet up and exchange. Email me at sjg5100@gmail.com
I love that MMJ plays in Charleston...they seem to like that town. I'll be moving there...maybe soon
Anyone else hoping to win the VIP tix from Roll Call?? I hope to.
Wish we knew how long they will play. I can't wait for this.
I just won the VIP upgrade. This is going to be sick. Id expect them to play at least 2 hrs at least. The only thing that could screw us is if they have a noise ordinance locally in Chucktown.

Congrats! I am so excited for this show. Can't wait
I had some friends bail on me. I have several Right pit tickets i'm willing to sell for 80.00 a piece. I paid over 90.00.
Thanks

Here's a review.

Sounds like the reviewer doesn't know much MMJ music. I'd also be interested in hearing how Jim "admonished" the crowd.
All I can really say about the show is it's time to mix up the set list. Maybe because i've seen them live online alot this year, more than normal, but it's time to change it up. I have to admit I was just a little disappointed.
Although I did see Patrick before the show from a little distance and he gave me a nice thumbs up.
I hope the December shows have a different set.

"admonished" has been changed to "addressed".

"My Morning Jacket lit that place on fire. " Of course they did.
This was 4th show this year. I kinda wished they mixed the set list a little more too. That being said it may have been the best show I went to this year considering how close to stage I got. :D DSCF1621 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er8GPxMKR3c#)
