Currently it's the one I heard in Nashville on Thursday night. However, thiere is no tape of it, nor can I find any youtube video of it. Somebody in the Nashville thread mentioned that they had recorded around 17 minutes of it. I've emailed them and hope they will upload it. I'd really like a copy of it.

That's a bummer but typical of vandy to ruin a great opportunity! At least we still got to witness an amazing show.
I've got dondante. Just need to find away to upload it to youtube because it tells me the file is too big to load from my iPhone.
The intro reminded me of the intro to steam engine at the Tuscaloosa show.

What a relief! I desperately need to hear this version again...thank you
You can try uploading the file to http://www.megaupload.com/ (http://www.megaupload.com/) if you can't get the Youtube route to work. It shouldn't be too big for sharing via megaupload

Please. Perhaps you could load it onto your computer and then load it elsewhere?
It was really just too awesome not to have a copy.
My favorite is off the celebracion de la ciudad natal live album but they have played some good dondantes on this past tour
Dondante - My Morning Jacket @ Mann Center (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1A1nlTgpx4#ws)
def up there
Yeah the Nashville one from this past show was the best one I've seen yet. I think every time I see it it becomes longer and more epic
Does anyone have video of this Nashville show?

I'd say msg 08, yum center or the most recent lollapalooza version was pretty awesome
the version from red rocks will be pretty difficult to top

I can vouch for the Lollapalooza. Enjoy it before it gets blocked.
My Morning Jacket - Dondante - Lollapalooza 2011 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RHQd8TyT0A#)
bonnaroo 2006 is the correct answer.
The correct answer is...the last one you saw.
Love that there are nice quality videos of them doing that particular Dondante jam ala the Lollapalooza video
first time I saw it done that way was September of '08 in Boston and it was insaaaaaane, I was so sad the bootleg didn't sound very good
it gets so intense when Patrick does the fast drum bit coninciding with the guitar riffs
The lolla vid was really good, but their stage and light show put it over the top this summer. Not to mention it was topping out around 20 minutes and when it really got going it was killer.
The one that made it on to Celebración De La Ciudad Natal from the Waterfront show in Louisville is still my favorite. Though seeing Jim do it live solo acoustic and tear up at the Rud was amazing.
7-2-11 at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Yim told us early in the show that we would be able to see the international space station fly by at a certain time...that time ended up being during Dondante. Usually, this much banter by the crowd during a moment like Dondante would be a bad thing, but the crowd reaction every time a plane or something flew over and then finally when the crowd finally saw and Yim pointed out the actual space station as it crossed the sky in its orbit was priceless.

...as if Santa Barbara wasnt already magical enough!

prob the one on 12/14 at MSG
approx .04% of the nashville version taken from my friends phone. You can kind of hear Bo's synth and the strange vibe powering the song.. but its pretty much a big teaser.

The one at Red Rocks this year was like 10 minutes into the song before he even started singing.. Best I've ever seen.
I thought the one from Austin City Limits episode was great.
anyone know where I can download the Lollapalooza version at?

I posted that You Tube vid. You can download it by pasting the You Tube url to keepvid.com or I can make it available on megaupload.com.
PM me if you'd like a DVD of the whole show.

If you want, you can email it to me and I'll upload it. I have to say that I keep thinking about this version. I know I can be a little obsessive (well, a lot actually), but this version is so different from any other that I've heard. Maybe it was the weird acoustics of that place. But it was just awesome.
