Thanks for the notice. I'll make sure to DVR this one Kimmel comes on after I go to bed :dankk2:
It looks like they are going to be performing several songs, perhaps along the lines of what they did for Letterman awhile back. I saw tickets were sold out for what was being billed as a mini concert.
Wow...thanks
Pretty cool. The roots and Jim should bust out dear god 2.0
today after hearing this news > today before hearing this news

Awesome!
Weren't they on Fallon about 2 months ago?
Regardless, I'll have to set the PVR tonight.
If only there was a web site for fans to come to get relevant information like this rather than hoping someone randomly runs across it while perusing late night TV options and then posts a thread about it... :-\

And Geoff Peterson will lend a hand on harmonica.
that is wierd how this almost slipped thru the radar
Google Alert for MMJ. It's one of the best emails I get. The rest tend to be spam or shipping notifications.
However, one does wonder why this website didn't post anything about the appearance....
Ditto on the Google Alert. I get occasional garbage, but mostly solid intel, articles, photos, even some forum posts. Would have had the scoop if I'd checked my email earlier, but still strange that they haven't emailed us on the MMJ mailing list or posted on the home page or Facebook page info about tonight's gig. Something to look forward to when I get home from a long day tomorrow.
:-\ that was weird
on the west coast for work and missed this. any video?

That
was weird.
I don't usually smoke but I coincidently took a puff seconds before (unknowingly) 'outta my system came' on
The show has a horrible format and is pretty unbearable to watch. Two songs at the end made up for it but unfortunately 'first light' got severed.

Former MMJ drummer Chris "KC" Guetig is in the front row. You can spot him during First Light.
That was weird, don't know how else to explain it. I was distracted by the Bud Light advertising the whole time. :-\

I'll preface by saying i'l lbe grateful for any songs mmj chooses to play tonight at the Gibson.
However, i hope this means these two songs get cut tonight ;D
I've only got those two You Tube vids posted by SBB to go on, but looked/sounded fine to me. Both of those songs have been stellar in live settings such as Mt. Jam and Lollapalooza. The studios of late night talk shows are not the best places for that to come through, perhaps. The Bud Light logos sucked ass.
I liked the performance (and I think both songs are underrated), but I've never really been fond of Kimmel's format. There's a whole lot of ads and distractions, and the second song always gets cut off without decent editing. I'd rather see them on Colbert, where you usually get a hilarious interview before what usually turns out to be one of the band's better songs.
