I make 1 resolution every year and it's the same one. I give up self denial.

I just wanted an excuse to post this, so I started the thread. I don't do resolutions
I'd like to get into a better sleep routine.

I used to call my wife (gf at the time) boo because of this song, kind of as a joke. I still call her boo to this day.
Same as always, lose some weight, eat healthier, exercise more...but usually i just end up being too awesome to follow through with those.

Practice patience and kindness, spend more time with my family, take better care of myself.
I'd like to be more efficient. With time, money, calories...
Start playing gigs, try to get more of my old hockey skills back, drink less, rock out more and perhaps climb higher at work... and do my darndest to undermine the Canadian Federal Government and find a way to destroy the mayor of Toronto and his idiot brother.

Ditto for me, AND learn to play the guitar (so I can really irritate my boo with yet more MMJ), run a 5K, improve my tech skills, less work and more play.
:) Propagate the use of the word "boo"
Also run a 5k.
Don't drink as much vodka and whatever the hell I drank last night. At least in one night.

Now that the New Year is here, resolutions are traveling fast and furious. Taking into consideration the recession, one might think financial planning would be popular. However, a recent opinion poll observed that more customers are concerned with their waistlines than their wallets. If you need help with an emergency this year, a personal loan (https://personalmoneynetwork.com/personal-loans/) can help. Happy New year everyone! I hope you got now a clear list of your resolutions.

So, my resolution to lose weight is in full swing, I suppose. I've joined a "biggest loser" 12-week thing at work, with $$$ prizes for most weight lost, for some incentive.
I've also found an iPhone app, Lose It, that's also available online and web-based (http://loseit.com/), both free. Check it out, simple and helpful. Here are some screenshots from the iPhone app:

If others are looking to lose lbs., we could set up a separate thread like the Palin's Bra thread for smoking (Palin's Bra = "support for quitters"). BTW, its been 1 year, 10 days smoke-free!
First official weigh-in...
264.8 lbs! Yikes!
Goal...
220 lbs. by mid-June (or less... or sooner)

Well the good news is you're probably over the weight you most likely gained from quitting smoking, so that won't be an issue. Good luck sir!
Thanks, Dave. You're skinny, so you can't join me. ;)

Doesn't mean I'm in shape though!
Well, I maxed at 270 lbs. around New Years, based on my home scale and an early morning weigh in. This morning, 258.5!
However, the "official" weigh in at work for a friendly "biggest loser" competion, Tuesdays at noon, has me at 264.8 two weeks running. I guess its just too early to tell, but I seem to have cut about 7000 calories a week in food intake and added exercise, so there's that... to be continued.

That's great! Keep it up. I bet you are starting to already have more energy!
Woot! Way to go, dude!
My resolution was to eat more local, organic food. So far, so good (minus my recent trip to Gatlinburg where I ate all the candy within city limits).
Congrats JYac! Keep it up!
For sure keep it up and good luck! Will Kyle give you a poster if you weigh less than him?

I'm pretty sure that in Gatlinburg candy is considered local and organic so you're still good.
I bought some moonshine, too. It was apple-pie flavored.

I am sitting at my desk eating lunch and this made me LOL  thanks!
I am blessed with skinny genes, but I am woefully out of shape. I think it's fair to say that for the past, say, 10-12 years, I've ended each year in worse shape than when I began it. My new year's resolution is to change that. So I'm trying to exercise 3x a week and so far so good but I realize this is only week 3!
Nice work, yyac!

Good for you! I assume that, if I were to weigh less than you, you'd be keeping that poster as I'd be 6 feet under. My goal is 220. But the energy is getting better, as is all that goes with it. ;)

Ok, Meg, moonshine is just nasty. Although apple-pie flavored may be much better than the corn cob flavored that I have had from my local bootlegger.

Apple Pie is friggin awesome. I was at a motorcycle rally / party in Iowa last summer and my brothers girlfriend won a jug of it playing the wiener biting contest ( not what you think, go to the kink thread for that ). The contest consists of women riding on the back of a motorcycle and has to bite a hot dog dangling from a string with her hands behind her back. Anyway, my buddy got so plowed from the apple pie he passed out on his feet and fell over like a tree falling. Thank god he didn't hurt himself.
