Title: MMJ at Roo XI?
Post by: oistheone on Jan 09, 2012, 10:07 PM
With the dropping of the Coachella lineup today, I am now in level ten of full-fledged festival jonesin' mode.

At this stage, likely no one has the scoop, but man, am I the only one that could see MMJ comin' back to the farm again this summer? Their pre-headliner main stage slot was special last year, but how fuckin' awesome would it be to have the boys back for an epic Sunday night blowout? I feel like they've earned it.

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...

phish is playing Bonnaroo this year  so you can pretty much guarantee they are closing out the festival

Damn, what a buzz-buster.

I'm all for Phish at Bonnaroo, but man, they played twice in '09! MMJ has got some catching up to do having only played once since then, so c'mon Superfly, let's give the Kentucky longhairs another shot.

That Sunday slot is the worst anyway, so many people leave early and the ones who are left are dog-tired.

Yep, I'm always exhausted and ready to get home by nightfall on Sunday. Maybe they could play Saturday night. And there's always late night.

I'm hopefully they'll play again, anyhow, and get a nice long timeslot to stretch their legs out.  If the Coachella lineup has shown us anything, it's that fests aren't going to be afraid to recycle headliners this year.

Hoping they are in the second round of waka lineup. the first round is weak minus bob weir, stringdusters, RRE. Waka>b-roo is a good adventure. b-roo pisses me off with how big it is, ridiculously too big, but so epic.. also, electronic acts there like Girl Talk should lower the volume so its not bleeding into the good music we came to see..

i think it'd be more likely that we would see yim (solo, with monsters of folk, or doing the guthrie thing) on the farm this year before we'd get the rest of the band.

I doubt they would get the headliner to repeat, but you're right. Waka>roo. Hell waka>any other festival

^I love your view here but i meant ">" as a transition, like in live music. Wish i could check out Wanee considering the Allman Bros might be taking an indefinite break, e-forest has good temperatures and trees but just too many teeny boppers there. Mt. jam for NY's. High Sierra for CA people. You have to walk all of your shit into Summer Camp, while hiding beer. Hangout is the best festival to enjoy the beach and lay off the drugs. Allgood and Waka are kind of the same kind of festival with Waka being the better of the two IMO.  As much as I really dont like Bonnaroo its just too hard to miss sometimes, especially with RV access.
