Yeah, I feel bad for everyone who had bad luck. I've been there, it sucks, but I have confidence that everyone will be at the show when all is said and done.

Thanks Jeff. I had a feeling things would go the way they did today. I never expected all that many tix would be given to the band for the pre-sale in such a small venue.

I went for NYE first in case it was seated, and it was. Got lucky there, and knew if PC was sold out,I'd have a good shot on Friday. I think there are still plenty of tix in the TicketFly system. Probably at least 80-90% of the venue.

I don't think there has been a NY show (or Philly or MPP) that I have been to that you haven't and we NEED to make sure to keep that streak alive.

Well most bands usually only get around 8-10 % of tix for their fan club presales. Some get a little more, but not much.

Think about how easy MSG was. 10% of 18,000+ tix, made for a lot of fan club tix available. Most of the venues they played this summer held probably between 5,000 - 10,000. 10% of those made for pretty easy tix. If there were 500-1,000 tix available to us today, I don't think anyone would've been shut out. The Cap is small. Only holds 1,800. Ticketfly probably gave them no more than 200 tickets a night,IMO, probaly less,and maybe even total for the three nights.

I found an expensive remedy to make all 3 shows in the case that I can't get 3 day package Friday... If I am able to get 3 day pass Friday, I can just sell these tickets or bring a friend, but gosh darn is it relieving to just say "Ahhhh... I will be there".....can't wait to spend the Holidays with all you beauts.

Exactly how I feel. It's so strange how the past two days I've been a bit more sluggish and disappointed but now I'm so happy. Just because I paid 180 bucks for shows in 3 months lol. Can not wait!

After going through a three night run with no repeats, all I can say is it will be virtually impossible for this not to SURPASS your expectations. It was so great, that in a few years when they pass through again doing a "simple" 2.5 hour set and then leaving town, it will be a WTF? moment. Like an alcoholic having one beer.

I hope you're right, cause having a big gathering for three days is sure to be full of many big smiles, great fun, and lots of wonderful memories, but NYE is already in the lead. It'll be great if both can hit 60-70, but pretty sure MSG last year had over 100 so that might be hard to top. I'm hoping both of theses venues hit triple digits Roll Call :cool: Judging by the early returns, we have a good shot at that happening.

It'll be interesting to follow. I'll bet you a cookie, and take NYE. :wink:

i attended the Big G show at the Cap this past wknd and all i can say is the theatre is amazing! the GA floor is not that big and neither is the stage - very cozy. there are 4 beer carts right behind the floor, a main bar on the 2nd floor, and the lighting system is spectacular. merch stand is on the left when you walk in and its going to get awfully crowded for posters as people are trying to enter the theatre. hopefully they do wristbands or smthg so you can pick up the poster at the end of the show.

speaking from someone who attended all 5 terminal 5 shows...these shows are going to be way more intimate. the cap architecture/balconies reminds me of radio city..i truly can't wait. i just wish i wasn't going alone

Your kids are lucky they've got such a cool dad. You could have some boring hobby that wouldn't be as much fun to hang out with you at - like bridge tournaments or knife shows. Or you could make them go see the Rascal Flays. Gosh, the more I think about it, the more I realize how lucky they really are!

Hey, is anyone else surprised that none of the Port Chester shows are sold out given it's a relatively small venue, no repeats, and of course much more? Only floor for the Sat show seems to be unavailable.

I'm a bit surprised, especially since the presale tix were gone in a heartbeat. I thought that was a combo of demand, and lack of tix made available. Looks like it was more the latter.

I'm sure they'll sellout by show time, and if not, that would surprise me.

Looks like NYE has sold pretty good so far. Still a few floors, but in the back sections, and anything more than a pair in arena reserves will put you in the sections beyond center ice. That said, there are still some sweet singles. and pairs available in arena reserves. :shocked:

I think all of these shows will fill up nicely, and they're still three months away, and around the Holidays like Fully said. A lot of folks might be waiting to see how their Holidays play out.

I think especially for New Years a lot of people are up in the air on plans until the last minute (except of course for MMJ fans this year) but they want to do something. I was concerned NYE 2008 that they would have somewhat of a light turnout but a ton of tickets sold in the last couple of days to make it seem like a full house (uppermost level was not occupied). If there are any tickets left close to NYE this year, I'm sure they will sell quickly at the end like NYC.

Hopefully the NYE show this year sells out along with the expected sellouts for Port Chester.

This is such a juicy Roll Call! I wish so very badly I could be on board for all three nights. But with the NYE show and family obligations around the holidays, only the last night will be doable. Better than nothing right? The no repeat factor is awesome, but I think this venue alone will elevate this stretch to "seriously special shows" status. I mean, the place has MICK JAGGER wallpaper!!! DOES IT GET ANY MORE ROCK AND ROLL?!?!

Man, that sucks, and hope things get better for your friend soon. You should contact TicketFly, and let them know. I'm sure they could cancel the original tix, and re-issue new ones to him. Ticketmaster does this all the time for lost tix. No need for him to have to pay for another set.

Just got forwarded an email with pictures from Phil Lesh's recent 3 night run at The Capitol Theatre and Whooooaaaa, it's looks amazing, absurd, incredible. That theatre is the new holy grail.

My bosses (who work in the music bizzz) were all raving that it was not only the nicest renovated theatre they've been to, but it had hands down the best in house production, lights and sound they have EVER heard. If I wasnt such a dumb ass, i would post pictures...but I cant seem to figure it out. Needless to say - get EXCITED!

So true go4it - I almost suffered an aneurism after pre-sale, but it all worked out. So psyched to meet and hang with more MMJ-heads in a couple of weeks!

On a more fun note, I remember GO4IT counting down to the MMP show last summer with weather reports getting everyone pumped up. Just hoping for no snow on the drive up to NY.

Sure that can be the forecast, it's late December in NY. I don't trust anything out that long range though, but I have also been looking and Thursday looks like cold rain too. Have to drive up from Maryland Thursday, then 45 minutes from the downtown NYC each night to the shows, I am not looking forward to bad weather. My 10 year old Corolla w/ shitty tires isn't great in the snow, plus traffic is gonna be a bear. Oh well, I'll be there and it will be worth whatever difficulties are presented. :smiley:

Having been at the 3 night run at The Wiltern, all I can say is prepare to have your mind blown. It will almost certainly be either the greatest or one of the greatest combined live musical experiences of your life. :thumbsup:

So, are there any others that will be in the balcony in PC and hanging out in the local bars and eateries for an extra 2 or 3 hrs?

I got balcony all three nights so I'll be looking for places to chill, or should I say warm up, prior to the show.
