Does anyone know? CC? Wade?
I'd have to think there will be. The only times I've seen the Early Entry not apply are festivals and other things out of MMJ's control.
These are MMJ shows, with GA floor, and sold out.... so if ever the fans needed it, these are the shows!!
CC if you are reading this, it'd be good to get some confirm.
Maybe someone should go over to that roll call forum and ask. Do they even look over here? I'll do it.
~~~~Ok, I went over and asked in the roll call section. Then I pm'd Wade. Maybe we will get some answers soon. Of course it's Friday and there are the holidays coming up. We should probably not get our hopes up that we will find out anything until we are at the gate and PennyLane is rallying the staff at the entrance to make sure that we get in before everyone else - (I'm having flashbacks to Alpharetta. She did her job well there. We were in before anyone else, even the other side of the amphitheater where the soundcheck party entrance was.)
i doubt it
Well since these are MMJ shows like Kyle said, and not a fest, and also sold through a Roll Call presale, I'm leaning towards there definitely being a Roll Call early entry.
There was RC early entry at Wiltern, this situation appears to be almost exactly the same, I see no reason why it wouldn't be available.
At The Wiltern, the floor was staggered/levels, so you had like 3 opportunities to be on 'the rail', the actual pit, the first level was about eye level with the stage with a waist high wall/railing, and the same for the third level. So if you didn't want to be on the rail in the pit, you could stake a spot on the first or second rail for unobstructed views, and kinda 'hold' that spot. But it appears that The Capitol floor is a steady upward slope, which is fine, but somewhat mitigates that early entry advantage (at least as compared to the Wiltern, though likely not many other places).
I was also wondering about a coat check. I guess I am getting old to be concerned about things like this, but it's gonna be freezing outside. Probably not though...
I wondered about a coat check too. I'm assuming they have one.
there is a coat check
I've put inquiries out to ground(ctrl) and MMJ management about early entry. Stay tuned...
6:00 for RC members. Bring 2011 or 2012 membership cards/laminates.
Thanks so much MMJ and GroundCtrl!
I just got an email about this from GRNDcntrl and MMJ, but I am still a little confused about getting tickets, sort of, but I am sure it will work out fine. Just wondering if you're getting tickets from someone who is will-call, and the tickets are actually inside, and the box office itself isn't open, how that will work out. But I am sure it will.
Related question/favor, which I should/will post separately, I have my RC laminate, but I am coming with my buddy and my sister Thursday, so am hoping to get them both in early with me (if for no other reason than to facilitate smooth ticket transfer, as we are getting all the tickets when we get there, see above). So if someone with a RC laminate is solo and wouldn't mind helping me out, that would be special, and probably worth a beer or soda. :wink:
ROLL CALL FIRST ENTRY FOR THE CAPITOL THEATRE - 12/27, 12/28 & 12/29
Doors Officially Open: 6:30pm
Box Office Opens: 6:30pm
Parking: http://www.thecapitoltheatre.com/parking/
Meet up location / time: 6:00pm in the designated First Entry line at the Main Entrance of The Capitol Theatre. Once entering the main lobby, there will be a will call table where you can pick up your tickets. 149 Westchester Ave, Port Chester, NY.
If you purchased a 3 day pass, you will be picking up all three tickets on the first night (12/27). If you purchased individual days, you will pick up each ticket on each night.
ONLY 2011 ROLL CALL MEMBERSHIP CARD OR 2012 ROLL CALL LAMINATE will allow you (+1) to enter through this line. Refer to the forum threads for each show's specific First Entry Instructions. Again, we are offering this opportunity where and whenever possible per venue's capabilities.
it's a small venue either way I'm not bothered.
True - I'm assuming and hoping that 1800 people can line up and filter in without much ado.
The good news is tha there is a 100 foot bar just to the right of the lobby - the real trick will be getting drinks fast, then moving to floor or seats
What do I do if I didn't bring my roll call laminate?
This early entry is SWEET!
BUT, think we can use the coat check to check merch? I've been successful doing so at other venues in the past, but every place is different. Definitely don't want the merch to interfere with the in-concert groove. Anyone with experience checkin' shit at the Cap?
Great question. I'll hold a poster/tube if I need to but would prefer to check it with my jacket. Just need to make sure it doesn't go missing haha.
I'm solo, but meeting someone at will call for my ticket. I have my laminate and can bring in one of your two if My ticket fairy arrives early enough. Feel free to pm, I'll see what I can do!
I called The Cap Box Office re: tix purchased for others who are delayed, and whether tix purchased thru Ticketfly by Roll Call members will be @ the Roll Call early entry table:
They will not "hold" any tickets for late-comers, even if we bring envelopes & pens to write names of friends on. The woman said there's a lobby where we can meet up with those people we have tix for, so we don't have to go back outside. She also said that if tix purchased thru Ticketfly, they will be at the regular box office. The Cap Box Office can't transfer them, but she said if maybe whoever is checking in @ Roll Call table may be able to coordinate a transfer for us. Maybe if we give them a list they can do this for us? Probably wishful thinking...
Maybe someone will have better luck sweet-talking the staff (HALDON, DYLAN, who else is there already???) once there?
OR
If word can get to the Roll Call table/Check-Ins that can get our tix transferred over to them?
