Full moon = werewolves of London fitted into the encore....
full moon? does that mean we'll get the full moon on the walls like that soundcheck photo that was on twitter? what song could that go with?
I personally think it means that they are going to moon the audience at Encore.
And by think, I mean wish.

P.S. What is this Soundcheck photo you speak of? You have piqued my interest, my friend.
I think they're going to cover Led Zeppelin's "Ten Years Gone" tonight. That is all.
this is the photo. hope the link works. if not try searching twitter for mmjportchester:

They have to play Anytime if it's a full moon!!!
BTW, thank you...that was really cool. I've noticed how psychedelic and awe-inspiring the light shows have been. I like that they're bringing nature into the indoor scenery. I want to hug that moon.
On my way now. I hope to get rail.

Jim read from Dennis Rodman's Autobiography during Floating Action's last song at Forecastle. He proabably wasn't actually reading from it, but it was great. Prob the same song.
I read Dennis Rodman's Autobiography in 1997 or 1998. He was playing for the Bulls at the time. He was real into Pearl Jam too, I think. Or he was listening to Pearl Jam when he tried to commit suicide. Carmen Electra, Madonna, Detroit, Rebounding, Hair Dye. That's what I learned.
Get home safely, everyone!
OH! I KNOW WHAT HE WAS READING!!!!

Jebus Dills!!! That was an UNBELIEVABLE video!!!! One of the best I've ever seen! Well done, pal! And thank you!
And that photo of the moon is exquisite Jenfarr !!! The lighting is perfect!!!
Didn't Eric Mayers put up a link recently that was about MMJ's lighting crew? I'd like to read that if anyone knows where to find it...those guys are doing an amazing, amazing job. I've never seen anything like it. I've been to a lot of Phish shows, but this is different. They're doing really innovative things. The closest thing I can think of was from The Black Keys' show this year. I really dig it.
This was my favorite of the three nights, which is crazy as it was not the night that had Steam, Dondonate, or Phone.
The setlist was just perfect and in my opinion had the best flow of the three. It might look a bit odd on paper, but you really have to hear how amazing this all flowed together to understand.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.
I was up in the balcony tonight, interesting getting a different view, plus it was much easier seeing all the lighting and effects. Just so many great songs, back to back to back to back to back to...
I felt like it never really let up tonight, and it started fast. Was a bit surprised that there were so few covers over the course of the run, at least as compared to LA, but All Night Long was perfect and really fun. The end times were curious as well. If memory serves, night one ended about 11:45ish, night two was closer to midnight, and I think tonight was the earliest ending of the three.
The Run Thru and Lay Low were epic, but as much as I love those songs, I guess I always feel like they are epic. The most interesting for me was Honest Man, I have to admit, I am not really a huge fan of this song, but it was soooooo good. That version of Honest Man was just amazing, at the beginning I was thinking, 'oh, Honest Man, ok', by 3/4 of the way through all I could think was, 'is this the same song I don't love, because I love this!'. It was a highlight, for a song I wouldn't have thought would be a highlight for me. Oh, and IWBTWYD was stellar.

The Honest Man I saw at Red Rocks this year sold me on it. They have been killing it every time lately. I had tickets for the show but w/ a newborn and 2 yr old at home I couldn't swing it. However I'm happy my little brother got a smoker for his first Jacket experience. But we know the chances of that are usually pretty good.

Okay I guess I'll have to be this guy... With all the BULLSHIT that had to be dealt with from people trying to squeez in with those if us who spent 4-6 hours in the cold for great spots, I cannot condone forcing your way anywhere. I know this is slightly different with assigned seating and everything, but I'm really sick of the lack of show etiquette there is. Haldon dealt with someone SUBPERBLY on night 1 who tried to force his way onto the rail, after Haldon was the FIRST person in line on Thursday. I'll let him tell that story though cause I can't really remember.
Been missing these guys since Red Rocks, but I really appreciate the excellent commentary and videos from this run of shows.
Thanks a bunch to all of you.

i have the pics on FB and Instagram and Twitter but i guess im just not tech savvy enough b/c idk how you get a URL to say .jpg for facebook photos. Experience in PhotoShop woulda been helpful in my teenage yrs i just never cared for that stuff
If you are using Firefox or Chrome as your browser you should be able to right click on the image and select "Copy URL" or "Copy Image URL" or something like that. Then you just paste it in image tags like the following:
[IMG?]PASTE-URL-HERE[/IMG?]
Just remove the question marks that I put in there.
Ive been to close to 30 shows and this was probably my favorite MMJ show ever. Also good looks to Dylan for driving my buddy and I back home, much appreciated.
Words can hardly do justice to what we witnessed the last three nights.
Most amazing band in its prime playing almost its whole catalogue in the perfect venue with superb sound and the greatest fans in the world. This was my life's peak musical experience.
Teri and I loved hanging with all of you beautiful people and hope that those going to the next couple of shows have a great time and arrive home safe.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

So I purchased the first two nights in mp3 format. Would the audio qualiity of alac or alac hd be worth the step up for the last night when it becomes available? I will just be listening to it from my iphone through my car stereo.

Probably not, to be honest. I've only downloaded the fancy ones for archival reasons and because I'm slowly renovating my basement to eventually have a better stereo system.
Sat night leaving Sam's Bar and Grill around 230 (hole in the wall and small) standing at front door zipping my jacket. Door opens and six people enter the last was Jim. Holy fuck looks like I'm staying. Soon there after Bo, Patrick and Tom enter :cheesy: So great to talk with them and an unbelievable end to three days in Port Chester! Thanks boys.

WOW! What an experience that must have been.
I just got home a couple of hours ago and will try to post some pix and video over the next few days. Here's tour manager Eric Mayers overlooking his handiwork from the lower right side balcony in the latter half of night 3.

Glad you got to experience Wiltern II. I know EXACTLY what you feel.
So here are the Forum Faithful on the rail right after the Floating Action set. There was no light so sorry for the poor quality but I did what I could in Photoshop to make most people visible.
One of the fun things from the balcony perspective was seeing all the forum peeps rocking out so hard on the rail and the band responding. Carl was in Ericm's face half the night; I still can't understand why his head didn't explode.

This night was by far my favorite jacket show ever and the War Begun was just epic.
Everything seemed to flow well as jon and others pointed out prior. I also liked the visual aids and extended jams that happened. Can't wait to get the downloads to relive these sets. I don't think I could imagine a better way to spend three days than with this band and with you folks.
It was awesome seeing everyone one again we had met prior and meeting a whole other slew of jacket fans as well. Such an all around fantastic time. Hope everyone that is making the NYE and NJ date enjoy yourselves. Can't wait to do this all again when they hit the road next go around.

Dillsnufus - amaze balls videos! Thank you so much. :cheesy:
Looking forward to seeing these videos and listening to the downloads nice and loud. That was one of the best if not the best concert I have ever seen. Being up close right in front of Carl with the great people on this Forum helped make the experience better. Many familiar faces and some new faces that I hope to see next tour.
They played my two favorite songs back to back (Masterplan and O is the One), but I've been singing Honest Man and Touch Me Part 1 to myself since the show ended. Either those two versions were particularly incredible or those have to be part of a new favorite list. I think both.
The momentum of the show and energy of the band will not be soon forgotten.
Can't forget to add that Floating Action was great and the lights on the ceiling and the peripheral walls were very cool. The disco ball and Z images were especially great touches.
Only one video from the last night. I was standing up shooting Going to Hell > IWSYS and everyone around me sat down when IWSYS started leaving me exposed; one of the security guys came around and shut me down so IWSYS is cut short.

Everyone who was at this show knows how absolutely incredible it was. Even without Phone, Dondante, or Steam Engine, this was my favorite MMJ show I've ever seen. Can't wait to listen to it when they actually get the downloads working

Nice video. I really liked seeing it from that perspective. That's my one regret that I didn't get to see the show from that vantage point, but ultimately, being in the pit won out.
Here's a video of Honest Man shot by Eric Mayers, their tour manager from side balcony (see my post a page or so back). Too bad he didn't move the camera a little to the left to catch all the Forum Faithful on the rail but you see Scosby's arm and sometimes his head throughout and more folks in the pan at the end. If fact you can see me and the Ms 3rd row center in the Balcony (I'm standing wearing a black vest)!

I am having trouble finding words to describe how great of a time I had at this show. The sound was perfect. The setlist was perfect. The venue was perfect. The combined energy of the band and the fans just about made me EXPLODE WITH HAPPINESS at EIGHTEEN DIFFERENT POINTS during the show! It's remarkable I walked outta there with my head intact. I may be a little biased here, but can we get a little love for how UNREAL that version of "O Is The One That Is Real" was? DAMN! I just about jumped right outta the theater!
I am just SO thankful that these shows were recorded and are ALREADY available. I mixed the soundboard audio with a video that I took of Lay Low and MAN, I gotta say it turned out pretty sweet!
My Morning Jacket -- Lay Low -- Live at the Capitol Theatre [soundboard audio mix] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVwcy_B--kU#ws)
Lastly, I just want to give a HUGE ROUND OF PROPS to the Capitol Theater for being the best damn place I've ever seen a show.
oistheone..... that is a sweet video. I was probably two feet away from you that night but we didn't meet. Agreed as O was off the charts. And that it followed an insane Masterplan. What a show.
Very thankful to have the soundboard boots for free no less. Even if I lost my stubs with the codes, I would't hesitate to pay for those recordings.

Yea, pretty sure I was right behind him while he was doing that. He kept looking around nervously thinking he'd get shut down and was holding it close to his face/body. Some good shots.
War Begun . It is now in my favorites list! I really want to buy these recordings, but I don't have the extra cash this go around. My work got a new store owner and he has been shorting me a day each week recently. Hopefully I can get my old schedule back. I guess I have to settle for buying just War Begun, Strangulation, The Dark and Carried Away for now. It kills me to do this.
Would the ALAC version fix some of the sound issues I have had with the Red Rocks bootlegs. Like Jim's sharp S's on a few songs that pierce the ears? Or is it hardly noticeable and MP3 is the better route? I listen to these mainly in my car and on my iPod.

If anyone has a 30 minute car ride like I did last night, you can't go wrong by putting on a 25 minute Dondante followed by Librarian from this show. Librarian is such an underrated (if that's the right word or maybe not discussed/thought of as much) song, and it would be a nice, mellow one to see more frequently in future shows. The words, the story Jim tells in that song......amazing.
