Title: Forecastle
Post by: rusty95 on Feb 18, 2013, 05:37 PM
Does anyone know anything?

I'm assuming at the least, Jim will be playing.

And sorry if this has been brought up, I didn't see anything.

There has been some talk about Forecastle in the "festival speculation" thread in the "Other Music" part.

So wouldn't Forecastle 2014 seem like a natural for the band to regale the hometown fans with a few of their new tunes?
I have no inside info at all but made hotel reservations just in case.

Reservations made at both the Galt and Marriott Downtown since they gave me very good rates, much better then on the Festival website.  In fact, the Galt is not even on the Festival website.  Maybe our partying in the nice big lobby between the towers in 2012 was too much for them   But I think it would be hard to beat that space for after concert partying in another hotel.  Be sure to noodle around for better rates by calling the Galt directly - they will offer govt, AAA and perhaps some other rates that will get you close to 100 or below.

The Galt was the tits!! Those late night parties just got bigger, and bigger every night. As much fun as the Fest, Under The Overpass, and Belle was, those late nights were right up there for fun, and great memories for me. Early morning coffee in the Conservatory with Headhunter, and Bob wasn't too shabby either.

I'm going to wait, and hope if the band is there this year they block off some rooms again for Roll Callers. 2012 is going to be hard to top, but even if they don't set aside rooms, I'm only going to stay at The Galt for this or anytime I'm staying in L'Ville. That place spoiled me. Can't imagine staying anywhere else.
