no word on there being any early entry / roll call line up. also, this show seems to be a low attendance show for forum members. anyone going early for drinks/whatnot/meetup/lineup? i'm not sure what time i'll get off work tomorrow... we don't have a photo shoot though so i should be good on a decent arrival time.

Not to be a downer, but I'm wondering if you'll get good audio capture from the rail.  Maybe ask Ryan Pickett to let you set it on a tripod by the soundboard.  Granted, with no zoom, you'll have a very wide shot.  Dunno, just thinking out loud.

The show will most likely start pretty close to the listed 7:00pm start time on the tickets.  That's how most of the Celebrate Brooklyn shows are.

Save to say we will see a couple of the SuperJam songs?  I think so.

So...no Roll Call entry then, huh?

It looks like my ticket will go to waste, so if anyone wants a free pair they are yours.  One catch though, I had hard tickets mailed to me and Ticketbastard said they can't switch them to e-tix...I can scan the hard ticket to a pdf and email, which can be scanned a the door (confirmed by 2 separate TM/Live Nation reps).  Hit me up if you're interested.

Indeed a teriffic show. To all who weathered the rain, it was an honor to be amongst you. To all of you with umbrellas blocking the line of sight for the first set from as close as 3 rows back from the stage, go f**k yourself.

Didn't bother bringing my gear to this show, but if you guys haven't seen my photo gallery from the Webster Hall show yet I invite you to check it out (www.ghostsoffilm.com/photography (http://www.ghostsoffilm.com/photography)).

In addition, I have a very limited edition print of one of the more iconic images in the gallery available as a 20"x30" full-wrap canvas print available for sale on my Etsy page (http://www.etsy.com/listing/153034521/jim-james-of-my-morning-jacket-20-x-30?ref=sr_gallery_2&ga_search_query=jim+james&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all (http://www.etsy.com/listing/153034521/jim-james-of-my-morning-jacket-20-x-30?ref=sr_gallery_2&ga_search_query=jim+james&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all)).

It's the perfect consolation prize for any of you without the time or resources to hoof it south of the border in January.

Adieu,

Really great show. Aside from all the umbrellas, Jim's set in the rain was great, and Dear One never disappoints with the triple drum solo.

First time seeing the Roots band play live and they really owned the show. When Jim is involved with other artists, he usually takes the spotlight, but this was definitely a roots sound show adding Jim. Expected more collabs, but couldn't have chose a better 4 than the ones they played. I'm sure Dillsnufus videos will be way better, but I have Never Take The Place of Your Man that I will upload later

Good stuff indeed, Dills. So glad you captured this, man.

It's too bad they only played 4 songs together. I was thinking they'd do a whole set but how realistic would it be to expect that knowing they probably didn't have much time to rehearse?

Good stuff again, Dillsnufus! Keep them coming! Thanks so much!

No Problem. I love the results this video camera spit out . It's gonna suck returning it tomorrow. I'll repurchase it someday when I can.

I remember seeing a picture of the setlist and they had one more song they were planning to play Family Affair (Sly and the Family Stone song)

The Jim/Roots collab was legendary.  Only disappointment was that Jim's guitar wouldn't work just as he was about to rip a solo on "Use Me".  The techs tried everything but eventually they just anticlimactically ended the song.  Glass half empty viewpoint though, because the show was phenomenal.

I couldn't get the "Dear God/I Could Never...." video to load just now (ending up being a connection issue on my end) and I instantly thought it had been pulled because of the PRINCE part.

I video's a couple tunes from the rehearsal of the PRINCE TRIBUTE (w/ the Roots) @ City Winery and once the picked up a couple thousand views it must have reached Prince's management and they had them pulled.

He is notorious for that kind of thing.  Probably won't happen but if it does I can guarantee that's why.

BTW, I've played that part close to 10 times now.  Thanks.  Still stuck in my head.

late to the thread but it was FAB seeing everyone out in line for this show.  kind of hilarious to be in NY again but to be in rain jackets instead of snow gear.

the final dylan & jeremy umbrella count:  THREE.

i agree with the person who posted that the reggae version of "never take the place..." was the booty kicker of the show!

I don't understand that.  First of all, it's a cover.  Second of all, you aren't attempting to collect royalties for it.  So, what, if I record myself playing purple rain on a harmonica and it gets enough hits Prince can take it down?

Stupid.
