Yes

oh awesome. thanks for the link. missed the announcement on FB.
Very cool. Need to try and grab tix. Any more info about what could be expected? Like many guests? Will Jim/The Roots play a lot? Dying to know but this sounds fun.
since this will be after bonnaroo and the superjam - with the roots as a backing band (i'm reading that correctly, right?) - anything is possible
Anyone know if this is GA or reserved seating?
Have you guys gotten the e-mail with the code yet? I heard someone got theirs, but I dont have anything yet...
i havent
i am super excited for this
i'll be there .. no email yet.
getting late in the evening over there on the East Coast. what's up with the roll call email codes that have not been sent?
I got the code. No word on the cost of the ticket yet. Presale at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
cost of the ticket is on the TM site under the tiny "price range" link. tix are 41 plus fees. i think its 48 total.

I somehow feel as though Jimmy Fallon should make an appearance as well!

might have just bought roll call twice in purchasing this ticket...RATS!
edit: either I bought 2 tickets or two roll calls? i just woke up here on the other coast. i was afriad to hit the back button.
you'd notice it in your total, bluesky. it was around $49 per ticket.
got mine. stokedddddddddddd
was thrown off by the roll call membership renewal
Just got my two tickets! I'm seeing Jim so much this summer (Webster Hall, Bonnaroo, Brooklyn, hopefully Newport Folk) and I can not wait.

haha my count is looking similar. did not expect to be seeing him so much this year. good problems!
Cant wait for this! Got my Roll Call tickets this morning! 2 stops away on the train, cant wait! Hometown shows rock!
Not sure if I'll make the trek to Brooklyn from Boston, a Wednesday night show might be tricky to pull off. I did buy tickets just in case though!
So pumped for this show. The only question that remains- what Prince song(s) will be played?

QuoteDue to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Jim James and The Roots' collaborative performance at Celebrate Brooklyn is being rescheduled from Wednesday, June 19th to Tuesday, June 18th. All tickets purchased during the April 17th pre-sale and April 19th general on-sale, will be honored on the new date. For those unable to attend, refunds will be available through Ticketmaster. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Just got my ticket. I don't know if I'll be able to go (if i have a job) but we'll see.
Want to have this show as a live album :cheesy:
What are people's plans in terms of lodging? My girlfriend and I are flying in on the 18th and back out on the 19th - we're sooo excited!!!
Is anyone looking for tickets for this show? I don't think I will be able to make it and have 2 tickets I'm looking to unload. I know it is not sold out so I would be willing to sell them at a discount...
I also have 4 tickets available that i am looking to sell because i can no longer make the show. I paid $50/each but would be willing to sell them for $35/each or best offer. If you are interested please send me a PM
I have one ticket for the Roots/Jim show. Face value....pm if interested please
One Week From Today!! Bummer I'll be going alone though
I'm flying out from CA on Monday for the show. Do any of you locals have suggestions on places I should check out, eat at, visit, etc.?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone know where the roll call line will be?
The Double Windsor (http://www.dwbrooklyn.com/) is a good spot to grab some eats & craft beer prior to the show .. short walk to the bandshell in the park. They don't open until 3pm though.

Has it been confirmed that there will in fact be a special Roll Call entry line?
no word on there being any early entry / roll call line up. also, this show seems to be a low attendance show for forum members. anyone going early for drinks/whatnot/meetup/lineup? i'm not sure what time i'll get off work tomorrow... we don't have a photo shoot though so i should be good on a decent arrival time.
starts early too... 7pm and no opener from what i can tell.
Brooke I'm gonna do Fort Defience beforehand as its my favorite spot and pretty local having a car...ill be at the park early and check out the scene since I'm gonna be off tomorrow and ill post here about what the deal is. Should be a great time!! Can't wait to see more of y'all!
Fort Defiance is a fabulous spot with delightful drinks .. enjoy!
My girlfriend and I arrive tomorrow around Noon and plan to head to the venue no later than 3:30ish. Looks like there are some yummy spots in Park Slope to go grab pre-show food!
Anyone know if there is a curfew? I think it may be 10:30.
You guys know where I'll be tmrw. Planning to get there 3-4pm to get in line. Seeing as this is my Bday present to myself (a week before) I gotta get rail. also I'm bringing this

Nice! By moving the date up one day it completely f'd up my plans and forced me to cancel. I'm very bummed to not be able to make this as i think its going to be just an awesome experience. Looking forward to your videos Dills! If they're anything like your past work I'm sure they'll turn out great. Enjoy!

I'll be there with a friend. Not sure when we'll be getting in but I'm looking forward to this show a lot.

Not to be a downer, but I'm wondering if you'll get good audio capture from the rail. Maybe ask Ryan Pickett to let you set it on a tripod by the soundboard. Granted, with no zoom, you'll have a very wide shot. Dunno, just thinking out loud.

Sounds like a good idea but I'm not putting that much effort into this lol . Also it may rain and I plan on returning this camera.
Any idea when this show starts? I know the tickets say doors at 6..but not really sure the deal in terms of who plays when.
The show will most likely start pretty close to the listed 7:00pm start time on the tickets. That's how most of the Celebrate Brooklyn shows are.
Save to say we will see a couple of the SuperJam songs? I think so.
So...no Roll Call entry then, huh?
Have fun tonight and report back with details, impressions, and the setlist!
Also, I've had no word back on early entry for tonight, so... :undecided:
To answer my own question....
Celebrate Brooklyn! @CelebrateBklyn 17m
Set times for tonight: @jimjames 7pm, @theroots 8:45pm, Jim James and The Roots 10pm
So there are two entrances on both sides of the rear of the stage...I am on the right side if you're facing the the back of the stage closest to the street entrance... The guy said there would be NO early entry(as far as he knew) but didn't know much about it...so I guess just get here as soon as possible
I'm so bored someone please come hang out
Is this a rain or shine event? Thx
Thanks for the setlist info. Anyone have any info on a possible poster? I asked baconus to grab me one if he's able to but not sure if they'll have one or if they'll allow people to buy 2. I'm not going to be there for when doors open but will be there soon.
It looks like my ticket will go to waste, so if anyone wants a free pair they are yours. One catch though, I had hard tickets mailed to me and Ticketbastard said they can't switch them to e-tix...I can scan the hard ticket to a pdf and email, which can be scanned a the door (confirmed by 2 separate TM/Live Nation reps). Hit me up if you're interested.

Celebrate Brooklyn! @CelebrateBklyn 17m
Set times for tonight: @jimjames 7pm, @theroots 8:45pm, Jim James and The Roots 10pm
curfew is 10:30 so don't expect a long JJ / Roots set
great set from jim. figures that he leaves and the rain lightens up. anyone able to educate me on what that last song was? i didnt recognize it but it was awesome
Jim with the Roots:
Dear God 2.0
I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man
Use Me
Instant Karma
that dub'd/reggae'd version of i could never take the place was the highlight buuutttt i was expecting more roots/jim interaction than those 4 songs.
That's a cool set of 4 though! kev flaherty nailed it.
Man what a concert. Jim was excellent as usual  They only had to skip one song. (losin yo head) . The Roots blew me away too what a band.
I recorded three jim songs and all of the jim/roots songs.
Big thanks to Dylyn for the ride home. Much appreciated

Indeed a teriffic show. To all who weathered the rain, it was an honor to be amongst you. To all of you with umbrellas blocking the line of sight for the first set from as close as 3 rows back from the stage, go f**k yourself.
Didn't bother bringing my gear to this show, but if you guys haven't seen my photo gallery from the Webster Hall show yet I invite you to check it out (www.ghostsoffilm.com/photography (http://www.ghostsoffilm.com/photography)).
In addition, I have a very limited edition print of one of the more iconic images in the gallery available as a 20"x30" full-wrap canvas print available for sale on my Etsy page (http://www.etsy.com/listing/153034521/jim-james-of-my-morning-jacket-20-x-30?ref=sr_gallery_2&ga_search_query=jim+james&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all (http://www.etsy.com/listing/153034521/jim-james-of-my-morning-jacket-20-x-30?ref=sr_gallery_2&ga_search_query=jim+james&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all)).
It's the perfect consolation prize for any of you without the time or resources to hoof it south of the border in January.

cool. just checking. great job with them.

Really great show. Aside from all the umbrellas, Jim's set in the rain was great, and Dear One never disappoints with the triple drum solo.
First time seeing the Roots band play live and they really owned the show. When Jim is involved with other artists, he usually takes the spotlight, but this was definitely a roots sound show adding Jim. Expected more collabs, but couldn't have chose a better 4 than the ones they played. I'm sure Dillsnufus videos will be way better, but I have Never Take The Place of Your Man that I will upload later
Would love to see Instant Karma added to the mix going forward. Any video of that so far?

so awesome. thank you. currently watching this on the AppleTv and it looks/sounds incredible.
Good stuff indeed, Dills. So glad you captured this, man.
It's too bad they only played 4 songs together. I was thinking they'd do a whole set but how realistic would it be to expect that knowing they probably didn't have much time to rehearse?

Good stuff again, Dillsnufus! Keep them coming! Thanks so much!
No Problem. I love the results this video camera spit out . It's gonna suck returning it tomorrow. I'll repurchase it someday when I can.
I remember seeing a picture of the setlist and they had one more song they were planning to play Family Affair (Sly and the Family Stone song)
i would pay copious amounts of American dollars to see a full Roots and Jim James tour.
The Jim/Roots collab was legendary. Only disappointment was that Jim's guitar wouldn't work just as he was about to rip a solo on "Use Me". The techs tried everything but eventually they just anticlimactically ended the song. Glass half empty viewpoint though, because the show was phenomenal.

I couldn't get the "Dear God/I Could Never...." video to load just now (ending up being a connection issue on my end) and I instantly thought it had been pulled because of the PRINCE part.
I video's a couple tunes from the rehearsal of the PRINCE TRIBUTE (w/ the Roots) @ City Winery and once the picked up a couple thousand views it must have reached Prince's management and they had them pulled.
He is notorious for that kind of thing. Probably won't happen but if it does I can guarantee that's why.
BTW, I've played that part close to 10 times now. Thanks. Still stuck in my head.
late to the thread but it was FAB seeing everyone out in line for this show. kind of hilarious to be in NY again but to be in rain jackets instead of snow gear.
the final dylan & jeremy umbrella count: THREE.
i agree with the person who posted that the reggae version of "never take the place..." was the booty kicker of the show!

I don't understand that. First of all, it's a cover. Second of all, you aren't attempting to collect royalties for it. So, what, if I record myself playing purple rain on a harmonica and it gets enough hits Prince can take it down?
Stupid.
