I was FORCED to sing it in grade school! FORCED!
Will this make you feel better?
I sang it with my preschool children that I taught the day after 9/11. The kids were too young to understand what had occurred and we left it to the parents discretion to explain it to their children. So as always, we used music in the classroom to help the children get thru it.
I Love Woody Guthrie so you know i enjoyed it.

'Puff the magic dragon' is the ONLY childhood song that I ended up incorporating into my worldview. 'Schoolhouse Rock' made me want to butcher other children.
When you post these hysterical posts, fortbethel, I try to imagine you in your daily life getting hysterically upset over miniscule things. Then I go do something interesting.
They've had a an album (or two) planned for awhile, then this opportunity to help the 21st Century Conservation Service Corps pops up somewhere along the way. What are the options?
- To contribute to a program that places young people and veterans in jobs protecting the country's outdoor areas
- To not contribute because the next release from the band should be the first single off the next album (or similar original content)
I really admire and appreciate that the band participates in charity projects.
