Title: I wish MMJ would change their name to 'The Jacket'

Just sounds better. So many bewildering looks when people try to read my Jacket t-shirts.
Very cool story behind Jim's naming of the band still I always refer to them as 'The Jacket' and occasionally as 'Jim the wet Jacket' ;)

Disagree...I like My Morning Jacket.  Its got a couple meanings to me.  But I'll take their nick name as the Jacket.

I love My Morning Jacket

I also like calling them Jacket or MMJ for short.  Never The Jacket.  Sounds silly.

No way. My Morning Jacket is the best band name ever. It's ok to get that weird look from someone because when you do mention it to someone who actually knows them you know you have a friend for life :)
