Can we all please agree to start stuffing the ballot box with tame impala votes? My god what a dream that would be. Still, i dont know if it would fit with the types of bands that usually tour or collaberate with mmj. I dont know enough about music to explain why i think that, i just think there is a certain commonality between many of the groups that are mmj friends and i dont think tame fits that mold.
Lets do it anyway though
Strand of Oaks
Jim Solo Acoustic
Sturgill Simpson

That is another reason why Tame Impala would be so great.... because they are different. And they are my first pick because they are awesome.
My list (with being kind of realistic and not picking huge bands):
Tame Impala
Foals
Lord Huron
Local Natives
Bands that have more in common with MMJ and are friends with the band are more likely to open (Alabama Shakes, Delta Spirit, etc).
White Denim
Jonathan Wilson
Trombone Shorty
Thievery Corporation
Viva Voce
Also I agree with ditty: "keep this a "Holiday / Vacation" and DON'T MAKE IT AN ALL DAY FESTIVAL"
I didn't list Pres Hall specifically but in my other feedback just said they need to be a mainstay period - every year!
Doh! Solo jim acoustic would be even better than mmj to me. I justnassume that wont happen for a very long time because he would rather share the spotlight.

(the last two would make great late night parties)
Futurebirds
Deer Tick
Phosphorescent
J Roddy
Strand of Oaks
Sturgill Simpson
I also voted Tame Impala
Loveeee White Denim too. They actually opened for Tame Impala a couple years ago here.
Does anyone ever know what happened with the Alabama Shakes for this past OBH? As I recall they were on the original lineup poster that leaked but then obviously not on the real one. They called it a test or a mock up but it ended up being very similar to the real lineup.
Also, if Tame Impala is invited next year i think they need to play the headliner slot on night 3. Give em 2 hours+. And how awesome would that be to have Kevin Parker on stage with the Jacket for an extended amount of time. The cover possibilities are endless but it would be really sweet if they laid down some Black Sabbath, or something real heavy.
Real Estate
Kurt Vile
The Decemberists
Tame Impala
Spoon
Jacco Gardner
Alabama shakes

I wondered this as well. My guess is that they held Alabama Shakes off a year since they have a new album coming out. I would have to imagine that they are a lock for next year......especially with them being listed by so many on the survey.
Fleet Foxes would be awesome too!

No, J Tillman left the band, but they will continue on.
wilco
grace potter
ben sollee
houndmouth
more dr. dog....loved those guys
and i also feel PHJB should go without saying.
Need more Thievery Corporation votes for the 3rd night headliner.
The National
JJ Grey
TV on the Radio
Miike Snow
Tycho (in comments) for a late-night show.
Just a hunch but I think there's a good chance Alabama Shakes will be there.
Conor Oberst (in any version)
First Aid Kit
M. Ward
Tallest Man On Earth
Joan Shelley
J. Roddy
Alabama Shakes
Amason
Dr Dog
Neko Case
I feel like a little more female representation next time would be nice.
Sturgill Simpson
The buffalo killers
The wild feathers
Jack white
PHJB
Atomic Bomb!
AL Shakes
Dr Dog
Los Lobos
Bobby Bare Jr.
Floating Action
Black Prairie
late night I'd like to hear
Dimitri Manos DJ
Blood Orange (might be good?)
On the off night I think it would be really amazing (and also impossible) if Sigur Rós played. Now, hear me out. They are amazing live, their live performances are works of art. It would be so strange and weird, in a really good way, to have them down there. Their audience is eclectic and diverse. Lastly, (and this is the biggest reason) adding all of those instruments and musical talent to OBH could make for some imaginative and unexpected collaborating.
I'm going to add Leon Bridges as well
My list included:
Drive By Truckers
Alabama Shakes
Wilco
The National
Spoon
Califone
Imperial Teen
Matt Pond PA
The Sky Drops
Warpaint
Zee Avi
I'm adding:
Gary Clark Jr.
Those Darlins'

YESSS! My thoughts exactly, we need more ladies!! I was thinking Grace Potter would be amazing for OBH but I like your picks too (First Aid Kit, Alabama Shakes, Neko Case).

Edward Sharpe
KDTU - so versatile - epic for opener and for late night
PHJB - the late night Mardi Gras party was one of my best memories of OBH2
Modest Mouse
Jack White
Wilco
Phosphorescent
Delta Spirit
Budos Band / Antibalas
Michael McDonald

I personally would dig this lineup!!!
Seeing a lot of Sturgill Simpson on here. I just became aware of him because of his cover of When In Rome's 'The Promise'. He'd be good!

Alabama Shakes
Houndmouth
Glass Animals
The Budos Band
Leon Bridges
