Part of Global Earth Day. Looks cool.

I would go to that for Mmj and no doubt
road trip!
I'll be there.
Definitely going but my god those other bands are terrible.
So i worked this gig in 2010 and be prepared for a couple things:
1) MMJ will play for no more than 30 minutes
2) Zero chance of an encore
3) 50-60K+ people will be there, don't expect to get anywhere near the rail
4) The show is really well produced so set times will be SHARP

agreed - this will be similar to CBGB event - not worth the logistics.
I think there will be over 60,000 but probably not on the early side when MMJ goes on. And I doubt a big percent of those there will be trying to get close for MMJ. That said, for me, it's not just about the show. It's also Earth Day.
And since I'm a 30 minute train ride away with this rare chance to take my kids to a non-restlessness inducing short show not during their bed time is something not to miss. Plus the added bonus of other Earth Day festivities can't be bad (with the exception being the other bad bands on the bill).

Us too.
This is kind of nice as its less than 10 minutes away, already have parking since I work right there. Plus can get out of there early before the crowd swells and the traffic become terrible. Win, win.
April 18 is Record Store Day, too.
I'm tentatively planning on going. My wife loves ND and Usher so this is perfect. Hopefully MMJ get at least 45 minutes. A half hour seems like pure tease. Whatever, she'll be happy and what's more, it's free.
Do you think you'll be able to see the stage? I wen't to concert for the troops and it was a shit show. ended up watching on a screen in the mall a mile away from the stage and left after 30 minutes.
Being that it reads like they are on 1st, mobility seems possible. I'll take 1-2 less songs with them being 1st on stage versus the hordes of popsters coming for later acts.
Bump this thread up, as the show is 10 days away. Any confirmation of set times would be welcome of course.
I plan to be there and could use some intel as well. Sounds like MMJ is going to be on the early side of the music lineup.
Good grief...thought it was this coming Saturday!
i'm def coming down with the gf...where does one get a good  near by?
They might only play a 30 minute set and the rest of the lineup is...well yeah, BUT I won a meet and greet with MMJ!!! Is it pathetic that I nearly cried tears of joy at a chipotle when I found out?

A meet and greet at the DC show?!? How come I didn't hear about this?
I have my 16 month old granddaughter primed for the show. She wants to meet Jim!
Congrats Jim, I'll be at the meet and greet too!
So excited to learn the details - I'll be flying in from OAK, CA for the experience. I'm certain it will be worth the trip.

The Meet and Greet was promoted thru twitter. That's the only place I heard about it. I entered but didn't win.
If anyone needs a +1, I will be super excited and grateful to join you..... good chance I will cry tears of joy at chipotle or wherever I am upon getting that news.

Congrats to you too! I'm very curious as to what the details are as well. I just love that MMJ is the last name on the lineup and they're the ones treating their fans.
Has anyone heard any rumors regarding set times?
Also, someone asked about places to get drinks in the area. Nothing in the immediate area but there's a small bar called "Off the Record" just north of the white house.

Well isn't that special!!!
From the FAQ:
"What are the set times or order the Artists are playing?
We will not be releasing set times, or the order of Artists. With the amazing lineup, get there early to enjoy the whole show!"
how dumb

That is not good but thanks for the intel. I'm going to assume that MMJ is early based on the list on the website. It's going to be extra crowded due to people coming out to see the cherry blossoms as well.
From the FAQ page:
WHAT TIME DOES THE EVENT START AND END?
The doors to the event open at 10am with the stage program starting at 11am and runs to 7.30pm

I watched this a few years ago I think because mmj was on the lineup then too. It was torture to sit through. I would only watch this again if I knew when they are going to be on.
Curious to see how heavy they go on Waterfall songs since this is their only gig before the release date.

I'll be there on Saturday with my family, so I (we) would particularly appreciate knowing when MMJ will go on to avoid the torture that Fully mentioned.
All I can say is the set will be short (25 min.) and they are early in the lineup. The lack of set times is intentional, perhaps to increase the number of people who come for the whole thing or watch the entire webcast. Personally, I think it will decrease the number who go or watch, due to the otherwise lame lineup and short set times. Also, it starts at 11am EST, which is 10am where I am and tomorrow is Record Store Day, so I might miss the first hour or so of the webcast... :undecided:
This might help a little (http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04/17/1e9f982e55f9a1c71da6ea7d564527ff.jpg)
I hope they open with Spring or at least play it. It's almost spring and the weather is supposed to be perfect. It should fit the day. Due to the webcast, I don't think there is a chance they'll debut any other songs.
12:00-3:00.... good, noncommittal intel.

Hate to showcase my technological shortcomings but can you record a live stream event? If so, how?
Didn't realize there would be so many speeches and pre-recorded videos.

It has started, and I can't figure out how to record/save it. I have a DVD recorder connected to my Directv receiver, but Directv's Youtube feature won't allow for/find live streaming events. Also, I have tried Real Player, which I usually use to download and save videos, but it doesn't seem to see/find live streams either. Somebody smarter with electronics/technology, would you please, please try to get this performance saved and uploaded to YouTube, so we can download and save it before it gets taken down?!?
Edit: It looks like after all the pre-show speeches, Roy Kim & Vixx will be playing first to start off the live music... waiting... waiting... waiting... for the Jacket... ... ...
Record it? Hell, I can't even figure out how to watch it! All I'm getting is 30 second promo commercials.

Congrats on the meet and greet. Any other info to share about that?
It was a perfect day for an outdoor show. The band sounded great and the sound was surprisingly excellent from my vantage point. The crowd around me was quiet and calm so no annoying banter interfering with the music. It was my two daughters' and my dad's first MMJ show. And my wife's first MMJ show not in Mexico. Everyone enjoyed it.
The meet and greet I had with Mr. and Mrs. GO4IT and Mr. and Mrs. Manonthemoon was another highlight of the day.

A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon with the family, and then top it off with meeting up with those four must've been a lot of fun indeed.

It was quite nice getting back in the saddle of live MMJ shows on such a lovely day. Even though brief, I guess this could be considered the first of the new tour for the album. I wonder if this was the biggest crowd (300,000?) to witness a MMJ show even though, if the truth be told, only 299,999 seemed to be really into them
We were lucky to be "on the rail" with APR and family but our particular rail was at least 100 ft from the stage. Also great to see Mr and Ms Manonthemoon after the set. My daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter (16 mos) were back on the lawn and the little one was loving it. The night before she was at my place begging to see more MMJ videos from Letterman and VH1, LOL.
Thanks for posting all those videos, Mr. White! I took a video of Believe but it was so far away I doubt I'll post it. On to the rest of the tour!!!!
The link I posted is the one I downloaded from. Its s funky file type I'm not familiar with (Matroska?), but it played OK at first. It did get wiggy during CF, and my media player was "not responding" (one of my least favorite two-word phrases. I kinda assumed this was the same file on torrent.
FYI - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matroska
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matroska)
FYI #2 - It plays really well on my VLC media player. Great sound and HD quality!
Thx for the upload! Compound Fracture sounds fantastic already.
Really good video quality, way too many crowd shots though. They should have kept the camera on the band.
