Related, and I think I asked this last time around at this venue ... I got pit tix that had different numbers on them. That shouldn't matter as long as it says pit right? Like one said PIT 0022 and the other PIT 3300

I asked the same thing, because PIT should just be PIT.
Scosby says it's just for enumerating purposes. I truly don't know, since I have never purchased PIT for this venue prior to this show. I once had row 3 for Heart, and they let us all up into the PIT though. It's not a very big area.
My question is will they honor early entry with the Roll Call laminates?

Seth's right. Those numbers are just for accounting purposes so they can keep track of the number sold. It's a little strange the numbers have such a gap in them but it's probably just their system where the zero's don't really mean anything or something like that.
As for early entry, yes, if they are doing it your laminate will get you in before the rest of the ga's. Since they haven't done any shows yet, we just have past tours to go by but they seem to have worked this out with most venues. It's usually a separate RC ga line, and you'll get let in first and then the other ga's will follow. We haven't gotten an official announcement regarding early entry for this tour but I'm betting they'll be doing it again wherever they can.
Also if they're doing a VIP Soundcheck for this you should definitely try and do that if you can.
A Live Nation Presale started at 10 am this morning for the Charlotte show, fyi.

Anyone been to this venue? Seat vs. lawn?
Went with the seats. Possibly going alone so I thought the lawn might be more fun, but looking at pics it looks too far away...also not going to be able to party too hard...need to drive home after the show...so seats it is! :bath:
I may have an extra ticket if someone ends up needing it. Obviously will know for sure when the time gets closer. Hope to meet some Forum members! It's been awhile!

Yep, I live here ... I'd say seats are the way to go. Lawn isn't that big and, of course, further away. It's like a scaled down version of one of the larger ampitheatres you see in cities (including one we have here, which I can't ever imagine MMJ playing but if they did it would be awesome).
The Music Factory area is pretty great for pregaming. Right outside the ampitheatre is a place called VBGB, great beer bar that has an ice line across the bar to keep your glass cold. Also huge outdoor patio with ping pong, giant Jenga, cornhole, giant Connect Four, etc. (If you ever just kind of like a band you could go out on the patio and hear everything w/out paying to see them)
Late night eats are covered too with Mattie's Diner right there (or back to VBGB for a pretzel and incredibly good beer cheese sauce)
Sweet, thanks for the info layin low! Maybe I'll see you at VBGB.

The venue is great. Lawn is small, but not that far from the stage. Anywhere is a good seat, unless you are short like me and attract tall people all around you. LOL
The PIT is likely GA (I've never seen it seated, and it's not that large an area). The seated sections are very comfortable with good sight lines, and the lawn is close and spacious enough to lay a blanket down and relax.
Parking is generally free and right across the street.
Hey, it's quiet here and our time is coming soon.
I just wanted to mention my disappointment of no VIP extra. I was really hoping for that - if not for the sound check, at least for possibly an autographed poster.
Maybe it will be added on??
In the mean time, I'm looking forward to The Dark Crystal in Durham.
Hey Guys! Anyone have an extra PIT Ga for sale? Gonna buy in stub hub but thought I'd check here. We are taking our 10 year old for his first concert. To the band he's been listening to since the womb. If so just let me know.

This is a great venue. Last time they played here we got an abbreviated show due to a nasty storm. Also, the day before the stage crashed I believe in Indiana atthe state fair, so outdoor shows in a storm were a hot topic of safety concern. Though I haven't lived in Charlotte for some time, I would love to see them here again.

Actually they came back a year after the storm shortened show with Band of Horses opening and played a killer set. This will be my third time seeing them at this venue.
I'm likely ISO of a section 102 (center section) individual seat. Funds have been tight but the closer this show gets i've gotta make it happen!
Get this man a ticket. 2011 was great. Unfortunately missed them in 2012 but I'd appreciate a recording from nsl this year. Great venue, everyone should pull the trigger if they are on the fence.
Have a friend who totally dropped the ball, thought he had a pit ticket but does not. So if anyone knows a lead on a pit ticket please reach out. Thanks!

Got one!!
My friend got a ticket through Craigslist so looks like we're all accounted for. NSL, glad you got a seat, have always enjoyed your recordings in the NC/SC areas. A preemptive thank you if you plan on bringing your gear tomorrow.
Where are people pre-gaming?

Will be bringing the gear for sure! There will be a few of us i'm sure. Let's hope for nice weather!
I have a GA Pit ticket up for grabs. DM me if you're interested.
In town from Boston for the show...Where are people pre-gaming?
VBGB will be the place to be before the show. Great craft beer, patio, and solid food. It's literally steps from the venue entrance. It should be packed so you may want to get there early if you want to eat. Inside is standard overpriced arena food.
Much appreciated....I'll buy you a drink if you're there....I'm a tall drink of water, my wife is a peanut....I have sear-sucker shorts and white tank top on....My name is Matt...Psyched for tonight
I'm in center section on the aisle left side, 2 rows behind pit. say hey in between bands!
Was a little concerned after the best setlist of the tour so far last night. That'll teach me to ever have a hint of doubt about this incredible band. War Begun was sick, 2nd best I've ever seen aside from Mexico and then the transition into IWSYS is always a treat. Dondante was ridiculous. Looks like PWW was on setlist but not played...no complaints here though. Really solid show. See y'all at Red Rocks!!
anyone that went to Raleigh show as well, did Charlotte show have any backdrop or projections. last year Beck's show in Charlotte had backdrop with great projections but in Raleigh he didn't use it. Just wondering if Red Hat has limitations that other venues don't.

Just a dark backdrop, no projections. That's typical for the Raleigh venue, imagine because of how the stage is constructed and weight limits on the beams.
My 4th show this tour and it was my fave. Dondante, War Begun, IWSYS, Lay Low, Highly Suspicious (with Lucius), and a Wordless opener. What more could you ask for?
Raleigh set list also looked amazing, but this was a great set. Now to close out my tour with 2 shows at the Fox!!!!

Loved the energy and flow of this set. The crowd seemed to really be into it and they guys were on point. I really liked how they incorporated Lucius into some many different songs over the past couple of shows. The At Dawn was show stealer though, so so good especially as an opener (in this case encore opener). War Begun and IWSYS were my other couple of highlights for me and didn't even sweat that PWW was cut as they have been cutting almost a song at every show I have been to. Great way to end my run of shows for the summer.
What I love about this band is how they clearly pay attention to what's come before at a venue. Charlotte was passed over for many years, and its kind of like they're playing what they're promoting, but dipping in and playing some deeper cuts to make sure we get exposed to it all. Either way, it made for a great show. I thought it was more mellow that what we'd gotten before, but that's not to say mellow was bad, or that it was completely so. It was a perfect summer concert. And Lucius. One of the best openers I've ever seen. I've been following them for a few years, and what's great about them is they're not a one trick pony. They harmonize beautifully, but the guys that back the lead singers are just phenomenal. Musically, they give Holly and Jess an edge to the vocal parts.. and it doesn't come out on their albums the same way it does live. But I could just listen to those guys play music all day long. Two of the guys were in a different band before Lucius that I saw as an opener for another act at the Evening Muse years ago... another female fronted band, and walked out thinking how great they were. I talked to them a bit, too and they are absolutely students of music.. talked about influences and how it affect how they play (think Radiohead). So when Lucius came about for them, I followed with interest.. so yeah, I was stoked to seem them take the stage with MMJ... I figured Holly and Jess would, but seeing the guys on drums at the end on songs that I love was fantastic. They really added a lot to that encore. But... I really thought Holly and Jess were wasted a bit on Wonderful. I wish Jim would've used them more than just backing vocals and let them sing some parts unaccompanied by him. I really don't feel like I could hear them much, but maybe I'll hear them better on the tape. They do a great version of Wonderful that they play live too, and have been for a few years. You can hear it on the deluxe version of their album too. Anyway, minor quibble. Also gotta throw some love out to the venue.. as much as I'd love for the world to love this band the way I do and I'd love to see them get bigger success and payoff, I LOVE seeing them at this venue. Not a bad seat in the house and it sounds fantastic there. The band showed us tremendous love in performance and set choices.. can't wait for more!!

This recording is so great. Just about perfect for an audience recording. Great job NSL! I will buy you a beer if you are at the Fox shows.
The more I listen to it the better it gets. The encore with Lucius was spectacular. You can hear it in the percussion, they really added something to those songs. And although I've seen OBH performed at least a dozen times, this one may be my favorite. It may have been the rowdiest OBH ever... you can hear it in Carl's guitar.
Bring on the Fox!!
So glad Charlotte's concert is online. I liked the set in Raleigh better, but I loved the energy in Charlotte more. I had rail both nights. It was incredible. Erica was with me both nights. Laura (Janecool) came down for Raleigh, and I brought my coworker, Tabitha to her very first MMJ show in Charlotte. I am very sorry Henry couldn't join us. It was just incredible. I got a lot of love in Charlotte from Lucius and the guys were in great spirits - even hamming it up at times for photos.
This was one of those times when you just ride the music and the high is incredible. I wish I could continue to hit some more shows. Now the come-down begins and I have to live vicariously through others. I love this band.
This is a shot of me during the Lucius set - my MMJ virgin friend Tabitha is to the right. MMJ virgin no more! Face sufficiently melted. Mind blown!
