Curious about the venue, you guys been to a show here before?
Never, but from what I saw online it looks like its all GA, so probably no seats just standing room like the Pittsburgh venue.

i've been to several shows there including MMJ in 2011. There's a large General Admission Floor area

The venue is at the end of Charlottesville's Main Street which is not really a street but a brick road lined with shops, restaurants, etc. It's actually pretty cool. But because of where its located, there is a really hard curfew. IIRC, Jacket played an even two hours, ending at 10:30, 10:45. I guess that's why the show is starting at 7. I'd imagine MMJ is on no later than 8:15-30, and off by 10:45.
Not much action on this thread, but the show is TOMORROW!
I'm so jealous of everyone going to this show! I was at the 2011 show at this venue about 4 people off the stage and I had a blast. I was visiting my girlfriend (now my fiance) that week anyway so it was perfect timing for me to drive down to the show. Have fun everyone!
my first show! Also love the venue is so small, man they should rock the roof off!

Patrick gave the above pictured setlist and sticks to a five year old that was on the rail being held by his dad.
While nothing crazy or rare was played, the show was great. Steam Engine was extended in a really cool way. As was touch me Part 2. By far the biggest ovation of the night was after Off The Record. The crowd was definitely into that one. Infancy is amazing! That one deserves to be played every night. Same goes for Spring.
At about 7:50 the pit area up close to the stage was surprisingly empty. By 8:05 when the band went on, it was packed but comfortable (except for the heat and humidity).
Steam jam was awesome! I thought Set II was incredible! I also grabbed a setlist from the soundboard guy
Steam, waterfall, and Anytime were the highlights for me and overall a pretty solid crowd. The heat and humidity was oppressive, but honestly better than I thought it might be as DC had been 105 with the heat index earlier in the day. The band seemed to be enjoying themselves overall, which is nice. One thing I noticed though is that while we could hear the sound check I could of swore I heard Yim mention something about his carpal tunnel. I hadn't heard anything about him having these troubles in the past and that is kind of troubling as the only way to treat that is surgery and long rest.
Hey Brett, really psyched to see you at MPP. Been too long my friend.
Thats the first I hearc of CT. Thats a really shitty and painful thing to have. Hope it aint true.
What a bday present to me! Got to meet the guys before show (thanks to amazing independent radio station WNRN for the hookup -- loyal lifelong member!) - My 10th show. Upbeat, high energy set - face melted once again.
I'd post a pic, but can't seem to get it to work.... Am I missing something obvious here?
Got some decent shots

i can see hes been using a capo on any song using barre chords, and has done so for a while, but i think all the guitar changes besides for tunings and tone is also for that reason, different keys, different frets for the capo. I hope Jim's hands are ok. I hope everything with everyone in and around the band is doing ok :/
