The first few times I heard The Waterfall, it reminded me of an evolved "Soft Parade"...now there's the kind of "Jimbo" dress...the off-key wails...I dunno...I lived and breathed Mr. Mojo Risin' for a while, and the parallels have just become patterned the last week or so. To see any comparison between Jim Morrison and Jim James makes me sorta sad, but it's present. Any thoughts?

Personally I get more of a George Harrison vibe. Spiritual + Bad Ass + Modest + LOVES Collaborating and collecting musical frinds
I agree more with GH. Don't feel the Morrison.
You're absolutely right. I feel he's like George in my heart and just see the Jim Morrison when I am trapped in my head.
I think sometimes patterns arise out of our own projections combined with the power of suggestion, and we thus lose sight of the truth because of the way things appear from inside our mental windows.
I think it is particularly enigmatic because in some respects "Jim James" is not a real person. Jim Olliges is. And so the choices that Jim James the artist makes are often intentionally archetypal...and can evoke (or provoke) said projections...
Although the hat and beard are very Hank Williams Jr "ready for some football"ish.
I was thinking Merle Haggard!!!
