Conversations With Tom Petty by Paul Zollo
just finished thomas pynchon's "inherent vice." it's got all the elements of a hard-boiled detective novel but set in the los angeles in about 1970. funny, convoluted and unexpectedly poignant.
next up: dan epstein's "stars and strikes". it's about the 1976 baseball season. (about this time i'm really missing that old nerd-emoticon we used to have)
the martian by andy weir
astronaut stranded on mars
love, poverty, and war by christopher hitchens
and
(rereading) crime and punishment
mind at large, great name!
Just finished American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Enjoyed it a lot, and must have missed it when it came out in 2001!
Currently reading Capital in the 21st Century by Thomas Piketty, and to make it more challenging I'm trying to do so in Spanish. My head hurts.
