I'm there!
Hopefully a little tour news for the fall coming our way.....A whole month between this and Lockn.
Pretty stacked little lineup they got there!
Reminds me of when MMJ played Wakarusa. Completely different circle of fans than they are used to, IMO. Going to be interesting. Would love to see Jim join Cheese, Umph, or STS9 on stage to give their music something pretty much all of those types of bands lack and that's a lead singer who can actually sing  (i know that STS9 is generally instrumentals only aside from samples).
As far as a tour goes, i thought Jim said that his next album would be out in the fall so it would be strange for Jacket to tour during that time. You would think a Jim album release and a fall/winter tour. But maybe it would be even more strange that there would be two one-off festival dates and no MMJ tour. To the best of my knowledge, they don't generally just pop up and play a day or two here and there, do they?

Agreed, this lineup is very similar to Waka 2011. I had fun then, I'll have fun here! I usually go to Wanee every year, this campground is about as good as it gets. Fantastic amphitheater, bring your hammock!
I think MMJ is most definitely starting to gain a "jamband" fanbase though

^^and seems like thats the direction they know they need to go to have a solid following, i.e. playing Lockn AND Hulaween, two typically all jamband fests

I have my ticket and will be there! I have been to a few Wanees, but this will be my first Hula. Can't wait!
Wouldn't mind going to see Lettuce, Umph, and Jacket, if they fall on the same day I may have to consider.
Interesting find -- there are three Spontaneous Curation hashtags for Hulaween...
Like the overall lineup better than Lockn' - but Phish > Cheese.

Starting? Ha...where have you been?
Anyone have any idea which night they will be playing? I'm assuming String Cheese is the only band playing all 3 nights unless it says otherwise.
I'd love to know... Looks like I'll be setting up camp at Suwannee on Wed am, then driving north to Chattanooga/Asheville, then back to Hulaween on Friday for the rest of the weekend!

Interesting indeed. It's even more interesting that MMJ just announced 2 mid-week shows right before Hulaween.
This could be a stretch, but the boys playing 2 mid-week shows before a
potential 3 night run makes me think of one thing: OKONOKOS 2.

not happening - they will headline one night at Hulaween - so this is a short 3-show run that will include 2 standard shows (22-24 songs) and one festival set (18 songs)

I will keep hoping until they remove those other 2 Spontaneous Curation hashtags!
Im hoping for a One Big Suwanee Holiday
I am taking my wife to Hulaween to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We are both big MMJ fans and Louisville residents and I thought it would be a cool surprise for my if we could get a shout-out from the band. Any advice on how to make this happen would be greatly appreciated.

that's awesome and congrats!! I would start with social media but Jim is not really active it seems on there and since he's the one who does the talking (which is really just to say "how you guys doing?!" and some brief social commentary). To be honest, it's a long shot, but enjoy the shit out of your anniversary weekend and make a ton of memories!

hm, well realistically they wouldn't say anything onstage during regular show, much less a festival set. But this being said, you would have the best chance of getting a response if you tweet at and/or dm Tommy on twitter - tell him you'll be celebrating at the fest and I'm quite sure he'd provide you with a witty response online
Does anyone have Sirius online? JamON will be broadcasting the set -- would love to get a recording! I'm trying to set up a free trial but from after a little research, it seems like a scam...

On their website now...it looks like they are skipping the Jacket set :/

What?! Goddamn! JamBase's post from the other day said the Jacket said would be streamed at midnight! I'm still holding out hope.

Jacket should be on SirisXM/JamOn as scheduled, the post that doesn't show Jacket on schedule was from 2015! Umphreys is playing right now and the boys should be next!
