Jacket Saturday only assuming that one day tickets will be for sale eventually.  Does anyone have any info or recall if/when last year's Lock'n started single day pass sales?

Thank you Mr. VB!  I'll wait patiently and hope for a mid August chance to buy tix and also hope you can sneak away for a little drive west that Saturday.

If single day tickets become available, I am totally there. Would love to catch Ween, but what an insanely stacked day Saturday is.

Fuck yeah. Amazing lineup. So pumped that even with the addition of Phil & Friends, MMJ will be headlining Saturday. What a day that'll be. I can't wait.

Still on the fence for this one, but leaning towards buying a ticket. I caught Tedeschi Trucks Band on Saturday night and it was a fantastic show. Lots of collabs throughout the night, so I would expect the same at Lockn'. TTB played a great cover of "Isn't It A Pity" so fingers crossed that Jim and Carl join them onstage for that one.

I'll be there with my guy and my baby belly. But I can't imagine going to a camping festival for just one day. We'll be there from the moments the gates open.

Single-day passes are $129, so I may just get a regular GA on the secondary market, assuming prices will drop closer to the fest. If that's the case, see y'all Friday and Saturday! Don't know what I'm really getting into going to a Phish fest, but I'll certainly go in with an open mind!

Hey MMJ Fam!

So here's the deal, I've got a great friend who has been planning on going to Lock'N for months now with some people. her original plan was to fly from Tx to Nashville and ride with a friend to Abingdon, VA on Wednesday, meet up with people in Abingdon and then head out to Lock'n. Her friend can no longer go from Nashville so she's in somewhat of a predicament. Just looking for suggestions or possibly if anyone else is heading out from Nashville on Wednesday before Lock'n. Right now her best option is take a greyhound bus from Nashville to Abingdon to meet up with the rest of the crew. What yall got? Jealous of all of you that get to go, gonna be a shreddin good time!

Me and some friends are looking to head down for Saturday and I'm looking for some more inside info into Lock'N from people who have gone before...

How packed does it get/feel on any given day?
Are there crazy lines everywhere?
How does it work with there only being one stage?

Basically any sort of info that anyone can offer would be appreciated.  I'm just trying to get a feel for what the atmosphere is like at Lock'n.  Thanks

What sort of set do you think they play at Lockn?  From what I gather, Lockn is more jam-centric and really leans on collaborations from other artists, so I'm not expecting the normal festival set.

Could be dead wrong though, any thoughts?

Are there crazy lines everywhere? Not terrible. Lots of food/bev tents. Bathrooms take a few minutes but weren't terrible
How does it work with there only being one stage?  there are two stages side-by-side, just one act plays at a time.

They ditched the side-by-side stage approach this year -- they're going with one "turntable" stage. Anyone's guess as to how that will go. I'm thinking that could mean a lottttt of people camping out all day. Chairs at festivals are a nightmare to navigate, so I hope they have some sort of anti-chair zone.

I read that chairs are only allowed behind the soundboards... and I'm sure everyone strictly abides by that LOL

Good questions Murph and thanks for the answers.  Do they clear out the pit like Bonnaroo or let people park and stay there all day?

The chair thing does not bode well.  Any added tips or insight would be appreciated.

I'm going all weekend.  This will be my first experience seeing most of the other bands live.  Thursday and Friday should be good "test" days to figure out what time I need to start getting situated for Saturday night.  I'm thinking that since Phish, Ween, and dead-heads are likely dominating the fan-base that it won't be as difficult to get a good spot for Jacket on Saturday.  The one-stage concept is pretty cool in that everyone is on the same musical journey during the day, but I hadn't thought about how the pit area wouldn't clear out which could be annoying.

As stated earlier, anyone going can find me under an MMJ-oriented flag all weekend.

2 weeks!!!

Also - my opinion is that it will be a very, very, very jammy set in order to cater to the crowds that aren't as familiar with the boys, so it should be quiet a unique experience!

I wouldn't be too sure.  They played Run Thru among other loud tunes during the Americanarama tour when they opened for Wilco and Dylan.  They could even play less jammy stuff to counteract the rest of the bill and blow people's minds.

Whatever kinda set they play, it's nice that it won't be your "average" festival set. Being the Saturday headliners means they'll have at least a two hour slot, not to mention a very lax curfew. There will definitely be some room to toss in deep cuts and/or extendo jams in addition to the usual festival staples.

If the CRB are there a day early I would think you could see a Chris Robinson/Neal Casal collaboration with TTB. Actually, just saw Hard Working Americans are on the same day, so you're sure to see some overlap between them and TTB.

Plus Anders Osborne is no joke on the guitar. Would love to see Anders and Derek play on a song together.

The show I saw this summer had so many sit-ins between Derek with NMAS, Susan with Los Lobos, Luther with TTB...just in awe. amazing combo of three bands on that Wheels of Soul tour this summer.

IDK, they started doing Carried Away right after All Birds Say was released, right? And the fact that Bo, Patrick, and Tom all helped create 4th of July, I think it's very possible.

Setlist hopes/expectations anyone?

I'm expecting a lot of "standards" since it's a festival show and their first since Red Rocks.  That being said, it's Lockn, so even if there aren't a bunch of surprises, I think there will be a lot of extending yammin'.

Given their extended layoff, I'd agree that a set of standards is probably to be expected. I still find it kinda weird they're doing this fest as a total one-off. Haven't played in three months and won't play for another two months after. The offer must have been real nice.

REEEEEEEALLY hoping they play "Throwback" though, still have yet to hear that one. And I'd kill for a nice super long Phone. Bring on the jams, boys!!

The schedule came out.  MMJ 10:20 - 12:30.  Over two hours is pretty solid.  There should be enough time for some standards, deep cuts, and jams.  I just hope it isn't as hot next week as it has been the past two weeks.  Mid 90s plus high humidity is not fun.

logical to assume that Jim could step out with Phil and/or TTB on Saturday - they will already be sound checked and settled in.  Candyman with Phil and It Makes No Difference with TTB?

In years past they have announced the webcast pretty close to the festival. Last year the stream was announced three days before the fest. I'd imagine they are trying to get every possible ticket purchase they can first. I suppose it's looking a little dire now, but there's still hope!

Definitely expect (strongly hope) there to be a webcast but the one thing that pops to mind w/ Phish being there is if its possible Phish says they want to do their own webcast or nothing at all.

If anyone wants to help a brother out and get on the (suspiciously empty) #MMJLOCKN train, I'd highly appreciate some Twitter requests for Phone and/or Throwback!

I was surprised to see I was the first SCS request for #MMJLockn yesterday - I'm pushing Magic Bullet hard - really want to see that live - it will melt some serious hippy face

Is it ambitious/greedy of me to strongly believe we will hear all 3 of these on Saturday? Throwback was played at almost every show in the Spring. Magic Bullett, well, just sort of fits the setting and crowd due to the song's context. Someone else suggested 4th of July - also seems a strong possibility...its quite the jam!
