I wonder why they moved the release of"Z" back two weeks?  Hope this doesn't keep getting pushed back like the Early Recordings.  Although I am sure they have a good reason for pushing it back.

Yeah they will be. They recorded a song for the movie, and hopefully we'll get their rendition of Freebird too.

I'm not sure, but I think I read somewhere that one of the actors (Schneider maybe?) is the singer in the band. I think JJ is just the guitar player. I could be wrong about that.

I think it's hilarious that they are going to be playing freebird.  I remember seeing them in 2000 or 2001 when they were starting to build a fan base in Louisville.  People in the audience started calling out requests.  It was the first time I had heard someone yell a request at a mmj show and I remember thinking it was weird that other people knew the songs.  Anyway, Jim listen to the first few requests and then yells 'FREEBIRD!!!' and then they stuck to the setlist.  I bet Jim would have never thought that Cameron Crowe would eventually request him to play 'Freebird' in a major motion picture.  Great stuff! :)

I'll have to agree with some you guys on this. I hate Freebird.I get so sick of hearing ppl request it at concerts. BUT since MMJ is doing it..I will prob Love it! I'll just have  2 tell myself they wrote it. lol
