Hey there, forum, long time no talk.....what better time than now.
It has been one emotional week, no? The ups and downs of this forum have mirrored much of my own. It's not easy coming home from such a positive tour to learn that your dear friend is being taken to the emergency room. And when you start thinking about how amazingly well he performed those last few shows, and how sick he actually was, you can only help but think of what a trooper this guy is. Hell, Tom was in pretty much the same boat a couple of times this tour....I have no idea how he pulled it off, but he delivered...trooper (those of you in Portland, Maine know what I'm talking about). The point of all this is simple: WE LOVE YOU, and we take this band very seriously.
These cancellations are a result of a very sick Jim, and a very serious doctor's order. We wanted very much to play for all of you these next few months (especially you NYE show-goers and hopefully understanding Europeans :-[), and SINCERELY apologize for any expenses or planning/travelling inconveniences this has caused. If I win the lottery tomorrow, you all will be reimbursed. We'll come mow your lawns, babysit while you go enjoy some OTHER band, take your pets for walks, do your taxes, take your exams....WHATEVER. We're sorry.
Right now we have to put the band on pause and allow Jim to fully recover. For the time being, I ask you to be kind to each-other. I realize that situations such as these bring an array of emotions to the table, but please don't let this forum stray from what it's always been. You all are wonderful people, and we would be nothing without you. Exchange ideas, make friends, and most importantly, celebrate music.
Alright, that about covers it for now. Thank you all for what you've given us throughout the years....we are forever grateful.
Sincerely,
Patrick Hallahan

Amen, bro! Jim's health is the only important thing right now for the band (and the other band members' health and
well-being). I'm sure that noone regrets the cancellation of the tour more than MMJ themselves since they obviously love to play live and they're so damn good at it! Patrick, tell the others 'hi' and especially a get well wish to 'my son' Jim
James, musical genius of utmost proportions!! Thanks for such a great job in Dallas and for playing Oxen for us! And we got "O is the one that is Real" right after that. Our recording of that Dallas show should hit Kory's mailbox tomorrow and he'll put it up on the server directly, I'm sure.
Oh, and thanks for that "We Love You" subject - now I've got that Rolling Stones song playing in my head over and over!
Next MMJ cover?!? You never can tell-I still can't believe they did Bread's 'Make it With You"!!!!
Low Dog
"peace to all you beautiful creatures"
That's great. Patrick, thats really cool man.. Get well jim, and take care to all you guys.
I'm a little slow on the uptake. Patrick - thanks so much for letting us know what's going on.
All of you boys please please take care of yourselves. Spend this time with your families and friends. I join in the ranks of the forum in sending my love and best wishes to Jim for a speedy and strong recovery. You're good people. Big hug from Seattle.
Hi, was looking forward to the MMJ show in London, but the important thing is that Jim gets better. Any updates as to how he's doing?
Patrick/Jim/Bo/Tommy/Carl:
We all love you too! Please get totally healthy soon and don't rush back onto the road until you are! WORD!
Thanks Patrick for the update......how in the world did you post over 2000 times on here and me not see any of them? :o
He doesn't actually have that many posts. He got Riny to "boost" his post count. :)
