i keep checking back and the direct ticketing site says that no shows are currently on sale. is this service not being used for the fall tour? I am looking for tickets to the dallas date, and wanna buy them directly from the band.

I'm not sure but doesn't look like the remaining fall dates will be available through direct ticketing. you can check http://www.frontgatetickets.com/ for the dallas/austin shows
gbv (guided by voices) uses the same direct ticketing service. it has lots of potential, but due to ticketmaster/other ticketing agencies/venue rules (read: the fine print) once a show goes on sale through another ticketing service the band can no longer sell tickets through their direct ticketing service... so that could very well be why no shows are available for the fall tour...
