Title: Wilco and MMJ
Post by: kymoose on May 31, 2005, 02:39 PM
Alright as we all know MMJ is playing with Wilco in June.  MMJ is playing with Wilco for 6 out of the last 8 dates of the tour--including the last couple of nights.  However, last week Wilco decides to add one more night on the end of the tour--Louisville (on June 30).  Both Wilco and MMJ will be playing together in Buffalo the night before on June 29.  Why in the world would Wilco add one more night to the tour in Louisville and not Chicago or someplace else closer to home (Chicago).  But, if MMJ is playing with them that night as well it would all make sense.

The Jacket hasn't played at home since the Lebowski Fest (June 2004).  This could be the perfect occasion.

This could be the show of the century in Louisville.

MMJ or not, I went ahead and bought tickets (pre-sale through Wilco's web site).  I find it very hard to believe that MMJ won't be on the bill, but it is possible.  Nothing has been announced, so nothing is for sure.

Right on, I think I am going to go ahead and get my tickets as well.

......maybee MMJ doesn't want to play an abbreviated, opening set in their hometown......or maybee Jeff wouldn't want the crowd being as in to the opening act as they are for the headliner's.

It's still really weird.
