That's great fucking news for you guys!
I'm so happy for ya. I know it was a bummer this summer.

The circumstances have to be right.
Hmm.... I predict another US tour in the Spring!

Got nothin' for that one.
:'(
It'll come, don't force it you'll make it sore. ;)
Maybe it will be an epiphany like my other prediction.
;)
The Astoria is the coolest venue! It's pretty small, I thought the Jacket had a bigger following in the UK?
I'm so jealous, it makes me want to come home!

their dates at wembley are being kept secret. ;D
Righty, lucky UK'ers.
Rock it!
there playing the concorde in brighton as well.
Astoria isn't small at all. It's one of the bigger venues around if not Wembley size.
Are we talking about the same Astoria? Charing Cross road?
Back in the day it used to go Marque, Bordeline, ULU & Underworld etc then Astoria2 then Astoria or the Garage, then the Forum (what's that called now?!!) then Brixton Academy or Hammersmith Odeon then Wembley Arena & finally the Stadium...
Yes that's the same Astoria. But the order is more like- hundreds of small venues, then ULU and the Garage with the Astoria significantly larger than both of those. Then you have the Hamersmith Apollos, Brixtons, Wembleys and the Earls Courts.
But Astoria is a big step up from Scala (where MMJ were scheduled to play and, as you may remember, pulled the plug on a few months back). so something must be going right with Z.
It probably won't sell out though and if it does it won't be any time soon. I hope i'm wrong of course.

Good point.
Tickets for Glasgow, Oran Mor show on Saturday 21st Jan bought and paid for. Hooray.
Saw them in King Tuts nearly two years ago and I have been waiting to see them again ever since.
Best live show I've ever experienced - nearly thrown out in a sober state for being too exhuberant.
Mon The Jacket.

They played downstairs at The Mean Fiddler the day the guys decided to leave the band (Nov 03) and then upstairs at The Astoria (Feb 04) when Carl & Bo had joined. Upstairs seemed several times bigger to me.
Needless to say, due to circumstances (and sound probs) at The Mean Fiddler the Astoria gig was different class. You'd have assumed Carl & Bo had been in the band forever.
Tickets booked :)
We were at both those gigs and the Astoria was a lot bigger. I've often felt sad that I was seeing the band for the first time and having such a great time when the guys were going though such a tough time. The sound wasn't great but the show still knocked my socks off.
You're right about Carl and Bo Loper, they must have been with the band only a short time but they were all very 'together' if you know what I mean. I remember that show for being a bit tipsy and singing Phone Went West on the way back to the hotel :D
