Just in case anyone wants to get this topic back on line.
2 fresh dates:
5/25 – Boston, MA – Banknorth Garden
5/28 – Philadelphia – Tweeter Center
CC, can I get a St. Louis show please!
Pearl Jam are headlining the Leeds/Reading festivals in the UK in August. I wonder if the jacket will be joining them.
Boy.....I am not a big Pearl Jam fan but certainly like the exposure that it will give to MMJ. Fact is, I would muchrather see MMJ over PJ and would be going to the show to see Jimmy and company. Just think that Pearl Jam has come and gone.....by the way, throw on some Mother Love Bone and get the eraly flavor of where Pearl Jam came from....

I see what your sayin' but Pearl Jam never left, just 1/2 of there fan base did. I certainly do enjoy my MLB. That shit is funky.
Well said brother.
For those that haven't seen Pearl Jam or "stopped listening after Yield" I think they're going to blow you away.
And if JJ and EV team up to do a Neil Young cover I would be the happiest man alive.

What about if JJ and EV AND Neil Young did a cover? ;) Would you be the happiest dead man? (Death by excitement.)
They need to do a duet of one of Pearl Jam's new songs called "Come Back" Holy Shit is it good, as good if not better than "Yellow Ledbetter" in that they are both very emotional and beautiful. It's just begging for a harmony with Jim and Eddie. I'm telling you, this song will absolutly grab your gut and twist it until only tiny pieces remain.
New Pearl Jam Record = THANK YOU LORD, they are back like never before. :o

hell yeah, come back!!
gone, severed hand, life wasted, parachutes are my favorites so far
Insid Job is another stunner. I fucking love Mike McCready, did you know he wrote the music and lyrics for that one? Anyway, yeah Inside Job and Come Back are Pearl Jam and their finnest and most endearing. I think two of the best songs they have ever done, they've done to many amazing one's to mention but these two are as good as all of my very favorites.
Maybe old news, but I noticed PJ was on SNL next Sat. 4-15. Bands alway do 2 songs on SNL don't they?

Usually, but if not I"m not mistakened I believe PJ did three songs one time on SNL.
They did Not for you, Daughter and Rearview Mirror the last time they were on SNL. One of the only times I have seen a band do 3 songs.
Thanks Clark, I was at work and couldn't remember the three songs. ;)
The problem with that 3 song set they did on SNL is the reruns only show the hour long edited version of the show. So rearviewmirror never gets shown anymore. A damn shame. THE most underated PJ song.

Agreed! If that song doesn't make you grab the steering wheel in a death grip, scream out the lyrics in your car and add at least 10 mph to your speed than something is wrong with you.

One of my most vivid concert memories was when I saw PJ in the early nineties here in Louisville. They opened with Rear View Mirror and the entire crowd was jumping up and down in unison. Un be lie va ble moment.
i remember when they did rearview here in Ottawa. Right after Jeremy, Black and Betterman. its almost 10 mins long. i was going crazy!!!!! me and my freind had a Fireball chugging contest right before the song took off, during the bass intro. i won, but in the end, i actually lost. 6 shots of fireball in about 50 seconds is not recommended by doctors or pediatricians. too drunk to find my ride, so i had to walk to the bar from the venue.
But that song, oh man. actually that whole fucking concert was beyond description!!!!!!!
If I remember correctly Eddie made several references to Kurt Cobain during that SNL performance. I think he had his name written on his shirt and then doing the Hey Hey My My song during daughter, which Kurt quoted in his suicide note. The show was about 8 days after Kurt died. I thought it was an amazing performance. It will be good to see them back on there 12 years later.

I still don't know how I missed that fucking concert. Oh course I went to the Black Crowes show at the Louisville Gardens and got to hear like all of two songs, before the cops busted them for having weed backstage >:(
Anyone have a decent copy of this show??

I was at that one also. That sucked balls.
Wait a second....The Black Crows smoke pot ???

back then anyways, don't know if Kate has made Chris quit or not
Attached is an ESPN article by Bill Simmons showing the relationship of Pearl Jam with the NBA playoffs. It's got some inaccuracies in it, but Bill is one of my favorite sports writers. He's got a great sense of humor and he seems to be in touch with the rest of the world unlike the typical stat geek. He's now in the running with the Sportscenter guy who mentioned Jim James as greatest sports guy.
