Hey guys and gals,
I won a free pair of tickets to see Okonokos in Nashville, but I have already made plans to see the show in Louisville.
So, I have two tickets. :)
I'll give them to you... if you want them. First person to send me a PM gets those bad boys. I'm not going to sell them or anything, just want to pass on the good luck bestowed to me.
Sorry, but the window of opportunity is now closed.
sweatbOard, hope you have a badass time! ;D

hey asshole. let me know your plans so we can all hook up before the show
Yeah ok, but are they going to have popcorn at this bitch?
Seriously.......are they?
QuoteSeriously.......are they?
I need to know if I need to bring my own.
hahaha, they've got popcorn and beer.
is this sold out? i need to get my tickets.
shit i haven't got my ticket either!
i could pick one up for you this week if you like.
I am thinking if M Ward doesn't sell out the Belcourt with a live show then the movie won't either. I have been to scores of movies there and the most I have seen is about 25 people at The Last Waltz (actually Dave Rawlings and Gillian Welch sat right behind us).
Personally, I'll be camping out on the sidewalk starting this Friday night so as to get a good seat.
That's awesome, I'll releave you about an hour before show time so you can go buy our popcorn. :D

i appreciate it man, but i'm gonna be down there this week for the Drive-By Truckers show so i'll hopefully have time to get a ticket.

MY MORNING JACKET MADNESS!!! – Okonokos Concert Film Screening @ The Belcourt, Monday, Oct. 30, 7:30PM, $10
Everyone knows that the truly awesome rock power of My Morning Jacket is only fully revealed in the live concert setting. That's why the release of their first-ever concert film is such an event. In the tradition of The Last Waltz, My Morning Jacket was filmed in concert at the world famous Fillmore with a visually-stunning and somewhat spooky stage set that suggests a private concert deep in the forest. It's a fantastic performance that captures the band at their peak, from full-on guitar-blazing glory to the hushed, hypnotic spell cast by Jim James with an acoustic guitar. The Okonokos film is out on DVD this Tuesday, October 31 and the band is celebrating its release with screenings in select art house theatres across the country the night before, utilizing 5.1 channel surround sound. The Belcourt hosts the Nashville screening and we'll be on hand with copies of the DVD for sale just after the screening, along with a great selection of My Morning Jacket catalog including the new 4-LP vinyl box set of the Okonokos live album. And we've got some great goodies for you too. We'll have a drawing to give away a couple pair of tickets to the MMJ concert at The Ryman on November 13. You'll have to be at the screening to be eligible for the free concert tickets. And for those of you who line up early to buy the DVD (after the film), we have a very limited 6-song bonus acoustic set DVD to give you free (featuring performances that are not on the Okonokos DVD). These are extremely limited and will only be available to those who buy the DVD at the Belcourt screening (while supplies last). Lots of great reasons to come out to the Belcourt Monday night!
I can't decide if I should go or not.

Good-
See Okonoko's, and some friends, win Guitar?
Can I still even get a ticket?
What to do? What to do?
I am buying tickets tonight at the door.
Yeah, I'm buying mine at the door too. It sucks because my OTHER favorite band The Secret Machines are playing at City Hall and I have a ticket. I MUST get that Acoustic Choral dvd though, and since Grimey's is only going to have them at the Belcourt, that tipped me over the edge.
It's gonna be a good night to see some music in Nashville.
Hmmm.... I wish there was a chance of Grimey's having some left over so that I can pick up the acoustic DVD when I'm up there in a couple of weeks to see the show at the Ryman.
:(

I get the feeling that these DVD's will be magically available during these tour. At least I hope so. I can't stand these limited release DVD's. I mean, just sell them like any other product. What's the problem?
Hey Corey, I went to Grimey's yesterday to pick up the Okonokos vinyl, and they gave me another copy of the Acoustic Chorale DVD. (And the poster, which they weren't giving out at the premiere.) So if I were you, the first thing I would do when I get into Nashville would be to drop by Grimey's and ask if they have any more. I would offer you my extra one, but I already promised it to a friend.
I was sort of floored by it because they said they would only have the bonus dvd at the premiere. I guess they had extras. Grimey's always comes through with the extras. I love that place.
