Title: problem burning Austin 03 DVD on a Mac
Post by: bo dereks tits on Nov 28, 2006, 01:38 AM
anyone on a mac here that might be able to help me out?

I put in the blank, open it in Finder...then I drag the VIDEO_TS folder into the blank DVD and then burn.... twice now I've gotten a message saying that the disc failed because the disc burner lost communication (or something to that effect).

Anyone got any words of wisdom?

Is your burner connect via firewire or usb (ie. not orginally on the mac?)
Do you have toast?

my powerbook has DVD-burning capabilities.  I've burned a lot of audio shows on DVD (FLAC) for storage purposes, but never burned a actual DVD.    Apparently I need to get this Toast program.

Yea, I think you may... with toast there is a way to make a dvd from a video_ts folder as well just burning the disc as a UDF format (which is what macs need to burn as for dvd to work properly)

I found this link, maybe it'll help you without buying toast...
