you forgot to throw the Roo on that list. I'll be able to post both bonnaroo and the supposed taste of chicago festival, if they do indeed play it.

A Steam Engine appearence!  Hartford you lucky bastards.

Is there any audio showing up for any of these PJ shows?  PJ is tape friendly as well aren't they?  I would love to get at least one of these sets to get a feel for the arena sound.

due to various unfortunate circumstances compounding, i missed the entire MMJ set at hartford last night.  i heard bits and pieces of Steam Engine from a highway overpass walking to the venue. i've been waiting to hear that live forever.  today, i am depressed

I have a feeling it had to do with the people you went with that weren't as big of MMJ fans.  If that's true, you need to seriously ask yourself about who you hang out with.  Friends don't let freinds miss steam engine. ;)

After seeing that is was played I had to immediately break out '04 Toronto and listen to all 15:08 of pure bliss!

Does anyone find it strange that they haven't played masterplan since '04.  What's going on there?  Is it part of the masterplan?

is anyone taping at the PJ shows?

I know PJ is taper friendly, but I think their rule is no external mics. I have fanclub seats for second chicago show. I could try to stealth it with my minidisc, but won't bother if there are gonna be others with better equipment....

Well, there are the official recordings, so audience recordings seem like a moot point if you ask me. I'll take the official releases any day.  :)

I knew there were to be official PJ recordings, but didn't expect them to include the opening act. Is there some fantastic news I haven't heard?

thanks

Do it.

Has there ever been an opening band on an official recording?  I guess probably not, but that would be sweet!  They should put a little live ep of the opening band in all of them if the band agreed.

Is the song "It Makes No Difference" the song by The Band, or is it someone else?  Please someone tell me what I am missing.  If it is the song I suspect, I may faint.

I kept seeing "It makes no difference" on the setlists, and it didn't even register.

If they play this in D.C. I am going to freak the F out.

Holy Shit. Did anyone tape that second Boston show last night? MMJ was on fire. Almost - and I do mean almost- blew away PJ. But alas, PJ pulled an epic show out and edged out MMJ by a bit.

epic. that's a good word. i like that. and yes, it was BRILLIANT. fuckin' incredible... but they should've played for longer and PJ should've played for shorter.

i absolutely loved gideon...

Yes. Gideon was stunning. It was my first time seeing MMj live and I was totally blown away. I like "It still moves" a lot but wasn't that big of a fan of "Z" with the exception of Gideon, but I think last night's performance is forcing me to re-evaluate. I really want to hear that set again. Those fucking guys rock live.

do you guys have a setlist?
Title: Re: Setlists 2006
Post by: FarmerYoda on May 26, 2006, 11:29 PM
I didn't hear two, only because my bladder was going to explode if I waited any longer, but this is what I got... please correct me if I'm wrong:

-It Makes No Difference (With Eddie)
-Gideon
-?
-?
-One Big Holiday
-Dondante
-Anytime
-Wordless Chorus

and fin.

I think they ended with Wordless Chorus, anyway. I'm not positive if that's what they ended with because I forget now...

Nobes? Correct me here.  this is a lot of pressure.

Man, I'm sorry I don't know the exact setlist either. LIke I said, I knew It Stil Moves and have Z but wasn't a HUGE fan until they single-handedly converted me on Thursday night. Anyway, I'm certain they also played Magheeta but I'm not certain of when. I think it was the closer though. Sorry I don't have more info than that.

Yeah, what I saw of the 5-25-06 show in Boston was AMAZING. Unfortunately due to traffic (I hate the pike) I missed like 2/3 of the show, but I walked in right as my favorite song was on (Dondante) and it blew me away. I wasnt even in my right seat cause I heard it start and just ran into the stadium. I grabbed a great pic with my phone too.

It was my first time seeing MMJ and I will deffinately see them again when they come back to town. What I saw (in my opinion) rocked the socks off pearl jam, but PJ was pretty good too.

Well done boys

I'm really afraid we're not going to get much out of thisd tour other than a few low-quality recordings and videos. I have recordings of two of the four "It Makes No ?Difference," and there's YouTube video out there of one of the At Dawn openers. Other than that, i'm really not sure what we'll get...

I'd bet that you will get to see them rip "At Dawn" whenever you finally see them.  I have seen them three times and they played it each time.

"forget the papers, forget your musical dreams!" is one of my favorite and most meaningful MMJ lyrics.

A couple things....

I think "Jam" from June 30th was probably just the new Dondante intro.  Just a thought.

Also, I am wondering if we are going to struggle to keep up these great lists overseas.  Obviously we have some good board members that are going to some of the shows, but not all.

And yes, i do think we'll lose some lists overseas. I wonder if CC could be of any aid...

Edinburgh setlist should in fact read:

I Needed It Most
At dawn
golden
lowdown
off the record
wonderful
bear
sooner
it beats
dondante
wordless
just one thang
way he sings
anytime
bermuda highway

Bermuda Highway and I Needed It Most ("Jim Solo) were not written on the actual setlist and were perhaps the most incredibly performed songs of the show.

And no Mahgeetah or, even more shockingly/rarely, One Big Holiday. Bring on the Astoria...

Marseille(s), France
Supporting Pearl Jam

Here's the setlist :
Wordless chorus
Gideon
Off the record
What a wonderful man
Steam engine
One big holiday
Anytime
Mahgeetah

That was epic, i didn't expect that steam engine would be the best song in the set, the instrumental chorus filled the whole room.
But that was not enough, of course.... :'(
