Title: If you could interview MMJ
Post by: foggy on Nov 14, 2006, 10:31 PM
Hey everyone,

I might have the chance to interview the guys this weekend and was wondering what you as devout fans of MMJ would ask them if you got the chance?  I have questions of my own, but I think it would be cool to ask them some q's from a broad section of their fanbase.

What the guys are currently listening to? What artists/bands are currently inspiring them?
Their fav albums of 2006?

When are they coming to Japan? ;)

Hope you do get to interview them! Good luck  :)

I would simply stutter a lot and can't think of any questions to ask the men of rock :-/

*blushing*
What is the best gig they've ever been to (as an audience member)?
Which is Jim's favourite t-shirt? (we've all had a stab, so may as well find out which he personally likes!)

and most importantly of all.... when are they coming to have a beer with me in australia??
 ;D

(good q's db)

"Where did you initially see yourself in 7 years when you first released The Tenn. Fire?"

"What song are you most proud of writing?"

"Jim, when the music is credited to your name, does that mean you wrote the drums, bass and keyboard parts or do you write the skeleton of the song and let the other musicians fill in the gaps?"

"Whats the origin of the It Still Moves / Okonokos bear. "

"You should direct your music videos" -statement.

If I got to talk to Jim, I would ask him if he planned on having kids.  Why, because I think he would make the greatest dad ever.

Seriously good questions Sioux!
Did you think of those before or after you knocked one off?  ;)

Same here.

Did you ever see that one Saturday Night Live episode in which Chris Farley interviews Paul McCartney on the "Chris Farley Show?" That's what I'd be like.

Who did JIm have in mind when he wrote 'The Way that He Sings'?

The main thing i'd ask is about their next record and if they have started on it and to share any insight on it...

I'm willing to bet that Jim would give his typical cryptic answers to questions about the meaning of a song or who its supposed to be about--he has developed a track record of making his adoring fans think for themselves which, I feel, is part of his enduring/endearing charm ;)

"What's your favorite ice cream?"    :P  :P  :P  :P  :P  :P  :P  :P
(and then I'd have a pint of each delivered to their hotel room in Chicago!)

I think I read somewhere that Jim was an art student in college...I would ask him questions about that.

"uhhmm... so... remember that one time... when you were with the beatles?"

"uh, so, at the end of abbey road when you say 'in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make,' is that... uh... true?"

I would ask how many pounds of reverb they have used on all of their albums.

(And yes, I am aware that reverb is not measured in pounds)

Why does my mind blow to bits every time you play that song?
