Austin City Limits has the best festival line-up but....
The best acts play @the same time. Who wants to choose between The White Stripes and Arcade Fire? That was going to be last year's dilemma but Meg flaked out.
I'd wait for Voodoo to be announced. That's gonna be the place to be!!!

i bought tix for both these shows, but may have to miss. i have tix for outside lands in san francisco that weekend. :-/ :D
my travel buddy wants to be stationed in Austin, which would leave us like a 3 hrs drive...we're both pretty hardcore but i can see why he wouldn't want to take the long drive if we are already seeing the band at Stubbs

i did the houston to austin run (just under 3 hours) TWICE in march for back to back mmj shows.
just pack your road trip pal in the car, offer to let him dj, and do the driving yourself.
just b/c yer seeing them at stubb's doesn't mean you should't see them in dallas.
full disclosure: i love travelling for shows, with or without other people. if your pal doesn't want to go, consider going alone and meeting some rad peeps at the next show. [smiley=beer.gif]
do both. i am doing both, and will not have it any other way. i am real interested to see how they do at palladium, as band of horses sold that place out. cannot wait for stubbs.
planning on doing a red rocks--->stubbs trip myself. But two great venues=two great shows. Will buy you a Shiner Bock at the Stubbs show if you make it.
the above post inspired me buying a 6-pack that was WAY over priced of Shiner here in the NE...booking my flight this week
