Hey everyone, I was hoping someone would be able to tell me if I can bring my Nikon digital SLR to the Radio City show on the 20th. I called RCMH a few times but only got a message and never heard back. I also emailed MMJ management but obviously they are super busy right now and also haven't responded. RCMH's website has a thing about cameras on they FAQs but it basically says for concerts that it depends on the band performing. If anyone knows whats what please let me know!
I think, since it depends on the band, you should be OK.

thats what my friend keeps saying, this is my first MMJ concert and his as well, but he has been a fan for years and says that they have fans take photos and post them on the website. Its my dad's camera and I dont want to show up at the show and then not be allowed in. just trying to get some specifics, I wanna get some wicked shots of the band if I can
Great question.
I too would like to know whether or not I can come in with a Nikon.
It's a great venue to pop some shots off at.
I don't know any details but I doubt you can bring an SLR into Radio City without proper credentials.
here's what RCMH's website says about cameras
For the Christmas Spectacular and other family events, 35mm and digital cameras will be permitted in Radio City Music Hall, however, you must refrain from taking pictures during the performance. Taking photos during events is distracting not only to the performers, but your fellow patrons as well. Video cameras/recorders are strictly prohibited. This policy will be strictly enforced.
For concert events, this policy is at the discretion of the artist. Please call Guest Relations at 212-465-6225, any weekday during normal business hours, for more information.

What do I normally make with a camera? PICTURES!
Why they allow cameras when you can't take pictures?
Sorry, but I am from Europe and my English is not perfect...

I think this allows you to bring a camera, take pictures out side with friends, and than still keep the camera on you during the show. This way you don't have to stash your camera back home or in your car. Anyways, they won't know if you don't use a flash, just open up the shutter....

Professional cameras are not allowed inside at all?
So i am traveling to NYC and i am supposed to leave my camera behind? What else am i supposed to do with the camera while i am at the concert? :-?
You would think in such a large tourist city they would permit you to being one in atleast.......

Is it just me or is this rather ambiguous? They say you can bring a small personal camera, but then go on to say that digital cameras are not permitted? Am I reading this wrong?

i think they just mean any recording equipment (DIGITAL recorders, video recorders, and other recording devices) not digital cameras.even still, the policy is pretty lame
