Title: seating for nye
Post by: BIGVICLBI on Jun 24, 2008, 10:48 PM
What sections should we be looking to get into for nye? I'm betting there will be lots of seats and i don't want to settle for the first ones I get on the pre sale. So anybody that has been to a show there please speak up.

Check the MSG website ....

If I am not mistaken, it offers you a "bird's-eye" view of what the floor looks like from any given seat ....

The Garden is VERY deep, so if you are up high you are looking down at a pretty sharp angle ....

There really isn't a "bad" seat in the garden unlike a lot of other arena's.

Check out the Ticketmaster site.  They have the seating options up.

I'm guessing Floor GA is up front and the Floor Section is an assigned seat.  Either way, I need to get on the floor.  Was busting at RCMH up in 1st Mez.

Only problem with the Pit is that the floor will be so incredibly slippery all covered with MELTED FACES!!!

I think I shall print t-shirts that say ....

MMJ MELTED MY FACE IN NYC ON NYE AT MSG!!!!

how are you getting the seating options for this show from that link?
am I missing something?
I see there's options on the seating chart, but I don't see where it says there's definitely going to be  a GA pit.

Now there's GA seats on stubhub for fucking $229 each. The PRESALE isn't even for another hour.... I cannot describe in words how much I hate stubhub/ticketmaster/the whole ticketing system.

I would feel very different if I was a millionaire though.   >:(

There are many arguments these days amongst concert goers as to which is preferable .... GA PIT vs A SEAT

Regarding NYE, you must take into consideration it could be well over a 3 hour show. That is an awful long time to be on your feet. (Also, note this: Hockey season is over. You will be standing on CONCRETE SLAB all night. Wear comfy shoes!) That is also a long time of people banging into you and crushing up against you. If you get a good spot up close to the stage and deep in the mob .... And you have to go whizzle?

That sucks. Because you have to fight the crowd in and out plus risk losing your sweet spot.

So, give me a seat.

I can stand dance and groove when I need and sit when I gets tired.

Plus, when I go whizzle I come back my seat is still there!

And trust me: In the words of Umphrey's McGee ... We will be partyin' people in the seats NYE!

............................   Touche'!

So, that means they will have the ice covered .....

Wear WARM and comy shoes because that cold will creep up into your feet.

Frostbite sets in.

And before the first setbreak, we will be amputating footsies and little piggys in the pit!
