Thank you GhostBlogger! That was soo freakin cool! 8-)
Anyone else think Miss Badu and Jim should have a baby together, for the good of the music loving planet? That kid would be one funky mammajamma...
please give us more.
oh, holy shit that must have been awesome!
I'm speechless. That was really damn cool. This is shaping up to be quite the tour!
Amazing.

I mentioned this on another board and I'm just curious as to why folks feel the need to rank shows this way. Not intending to be mouthy, really just curious.
I was at Nashville, Louisville, Red Rocks and Dallas this week (DC and Philly coming up). Each show was special in its own regard.
The Dallas Morning News has a very small blurb about Erykah liking MMJ's cover of "Tyrone," so I had a suspicion she would show up...and I'm so glad she did!
I got Lay Low recorded...I'll try to get it on here shortly

Oh, heeeeeeeeeellllllllll yeah...
Hell yea that is awesome. Erykah Badu is playing an earlier show at Chastain Park in ATL the same night as Jacket so I am crossing my fingers for another appearance.
If she shows up at the Fabulous Fox, I will go nuts! Is it Wednesday, yet?

Lucky bastard! :P
What ya'll don't see is Jim singing the first verse sans Erykah. So at first it was just amazing to hear them play Tyrone. Then half-way through Miss Badu comes out!

Man this is so awesome! Cannot wait to get the tape of this show.
Although she seems really into it and there's a chance she shows up Wed at the Fox, I just saw that her Chastain show starts at the same time, 8 so I'm not holding out hope. Would be nuts if she pulls it off and arrives for an encore; that would be one helluva compliment.
literally got goose-bumps when she came out.....simply amazing
True story:
I went to a Roots concert years ago and she came out to sing "You Got Me" and a few other tracks with them. In the middle of one of the songs she started talking to the crowd. I had something in my eye so I blinked and rolled my eye a bit and she looked down and said "Don't you roll your eyes at me white boy!" That is when I fell in love with her. Pretty cool.....second only to the time I saw James Brown getting into his limo and I said "What's up James?" and he said "Whaaaaaaaaaaaats uuuuuuuppppppp!"

that's a great story... most people would just hold a grudge to someone for saying something like that without getting to explain yourself (myself included, but I am trying to reform)
props to you man!

Ya know she has a kid with Andre Benjamin (Andre 3000). Talk about funky.

i couldn't believe that they were playing tyronne, but then Erykah Badu came out. blew me away.
That is so cool. In the longer video, it's fun to see everyone react when she walks on stage.
