"Sex Mob slide trumpet guru and all around gifted musical madman Steven Bernstein will join My Morning Jacket on New Year's Eve at Madison Square Garden.

The nature of this collaboration is still unknown, but one assumes Bernstein will play a similar role as Jeff Coffin did at the last Bonnaroo, perhaps adding his skills to a number of covers as well as Jacket originals.

Bernstein has been touring with Levon Helm and will join the drummer for his Midnight Ramble this Saturday."

the Fillmore NYE was epic, no other way to put it.  They climbed up the Stairway to Heaven to the Balcony at the Fillmore.  I guess I'll have to attend every MMJ NYE from here on out if it's going to be an ongoing theme.

I think the photo of the band on the top left of the homepage may be from them at the end of the night up in the Fillmore balcony.  Anyone know if I'm right?

I was talking to my friend last night and I told him how I read that they are supposedly going to pay tribute to Zepplin, saying that they will probably play some Zep tunes, and He said "That, or what if Jimmy Page comes out with them?" Got Me thinking....
