My Morning Jacket

Just a little concerned about being frozen but there will most certainly be no place to put my coat.  Any suggestions, ideas?

I'm sure there will be a few coat-piles to chose from in the back corners.  

i think MMJ will probably read this and request some GA coat racks for us.

buy a cheap one from a second hand store that you won't mind terribly if you lost it. throw it on a coat pile and hope you see it later.

im tossing mine to the band. They'll hold onto it for me and give it back after the show.

Just an idea....bring a garbage bag with you to put your coat in.  I always take one with me when I go to a cold/rainy concert or sporting event.  It works beautifully

So, uh...what do you do with the garbage bag full o' coat during the show?  I'm not bothered about my coat getting dirty, just don't want to hang on to it all night.

if you can stand the cold for a few minutes. My buddy tells me Penn Station (below MSG) has lockers you can get for like 50 cents. im probably doing this

Perfection!  I love the garbage bag idea.  We will definitely have a coat pile....

I heard that the lockers at Penn Station went away after 9/11...can anybody confirm?

ALady,  I will be putting my garbage bag full o' coat under my seat during the show.  If you have GA tickets, then I am not sure what your options would be.   It was just a suggestion.  Feel free to do with it what you wish.  

Oh, right - the original poster asked about GA, though, so that's the problem I thought we were trying to solve.

I think your suggestion will work great for people in the seats, ryno!  You'll leave with a warm, dry, beer-free coat.   :)

Good call ALady.  I guess I should have noticed that the thread was appropriately labeled NYE, sec GA .  I assumed it was a general seating question/issue.  Wish I could come up with a better idea for those lucky enough to get the floor seats.  I unfortunately, am not one of them.

I have to say I dig the garbage bag suggestion. I don't plan on wearing my nicest jacket there, but any bought t-shirts or clothing removed whilst watching the show might need a home. Thanks.

Ooh, that is a very good point.  It'd be nice to bring a bag to stash merch!  

Wonder if they'll do a special NYE t-shirt design!??  :D
