So there is only one Texas date, and this "drummer" has a few songs of his own. And he is from Texas, so perhaps a Centro-matic song would be in order. Sorry I havent kept up with all of your newer stuff Will, but perhaps "Am I The Manager (or am I Not)" or perhaps "Glacial Slurs"

They showcased Will a few times last night, though I don't think there were any centro songs. I'm not familiar enough to know better anyway, but Jim made some sort of comment like "In life there are a lot of problems, but where there's a Will Johnson, there's a way"

;D
cool.
He has a really deep catalog on his own....there have been Centro-matic albums, South San Gabriel albums, and even a few solo records, so it might be tough to spot all of his songs, that's why I made a few suggestions :)
Here is the full centromatic (and other projects) discography -

He said something to the extent of "What's right in god is also right in Will Johnson" or something... said a lot of things similar to that as will was coming out
Will got in a tune at the Tabenacle last night. I listed some of the lines in the ATL thread. If anyone knows his catalogue there was a tune with the lines "tell a thousand tales"...and another line "nothing raised a sound". The harmonies w/ Jim were great. I tried looking at the above discography and nothing jumped out.
after digging the Will Johnson tune was
"Just to Know What Youve Been Dreaming"
off of Vultures Await...good stuff...

this is some nice detective work, and a great song, thanks for sharing....and I look forward to something from that voice in austin.

You deserve all the credit for starting this thread. Coincidence? I don't think so.....
I like to see that someone, somewhere is listening.
another jim quote would be "will johnson. protecting families for over 36 years".
I am REALLY loving will's work. he and his bands need more recognition for their amazing talents.
saw will johnson play a solo set a few years back at southpaw in brooklyn, and he entertained the crowd with one of my still-to-this-day-favorite jokes between songs:
q: what's so great about sex when you're camping?
a: it's fucking in tents (intense) :)
another one of the highlights from the evening in Austin - Will playing Just to Know What Youve Been Dreaming - very well received by the crowd, and very damn cool. Thanks Will.
